Best Things Nearby:
Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, the Village of Vail (which is very charming, as it is decorated like a Bavarian village), Gore Creek, and the view of mountain ranges

Best Things About the Resort:
There is a friendly staff and people. The owners’ barbeque lunch was well attended. You can rent videos for $2, the pool table cost $1, and there is free coffee, tea, and lemonade in the lobby, plus newspapers and lots of brochures on nearby activities. The location of this resort is great, as so many things are within walking distance. The market is a short car ride, and there are fast-food places outside the village, but near the markets, if you are craving the McDonald’s and vast variety. We ate out and made breakfast in the room.

Resort Experience:
The units are large but rustic and showing their wear. For example, the lampshades and patio screen door was torn. The bedroom was a nice size. We especially liked having two full baths. You could easily sleep two more people in the living room, though you have to fold up the sofa bed during the day.

The kitchen had everything you would need. We sat at the countertop for breakfast, but the closet had a folding table and four chairs.

We saw our neighbors but never heard them, so I imagine the units are well insulated. The cleaning staff did a thorough cleaning one day and came in for a towel exchange another day during our 1-week stay.

The front desk will book activities for you and make recommendations, but we did not use them for this. We were fortunate with warm weather. The skies are blue.

Best Things Nearby:
Vail Village and restaurants, shopping, Betty Ford Alpine Garden, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, and Leadville.

Best Things About the Resort:
It is walking distance to Vail Village, located right alongside Gore Creek. Walking distance to Betty Ford Alpine Garden and restaurants. Lovely balcony overlooking Gore Creek. Two hot tubs and heated pool.

Resort Experience:
Very cozy unit with balcony overlooking Gore Creek. Grills outdoors by the pool. Hot tubs and heated pool. The unit itself is large and roomy, gas fireplace and full kitchen, and a large bedroom. Our unit had two bathrooms. The rooom is well furnished. It had a VCR, so we rented movies at night. We fed peanuts to stellar jays and magpies off our patio. Our unit faced Vail Mountain and the ski lifts.

It is lovely in summer and fall. Cool and sunny in September, and no crowds after Labor Day.

Best Things Nearby:
Vail Village has something for everyone. Sports activities, shopping, nature hikes, fine dinning and more

Best Things About the Resort:
Proximity within Vail Village

Resort Experience:
The resort is small but the rooms are nice. There is a heated pool and hot tub. The lanscaping is wild and carefree yet contained. There is a view of Vail from the rooms and a hiking trail right outside your room. The pool area and game room need an update. The beauty surrouning it makes up for it.

We stayed in the Time Share Rooms, which were OK. The room was very clean, although it was a little spartan in decor. We had a small stove, refrigerator, and a microwave. All cooking pans and utensils were provided, but I did bring a measuring cup! We had a wonderful baclony with a view of the beach! (Other timeshare rooms were bigger than ours.)

The resort has an all-inclusive package, which we didn't purchase. I heard mixed reviews on the food from other guests, but we did enjoy the bar service.
