The washing machine barely trickled when we needed to use cold water. The chairs and sofa were ugly and actually had holes in them. The carpet was stained and very old. The grass outside the unit went over our ankles from not being mowed. The area around the check-in office looks like ghetto. The windows in the game room have been taped with duct tape. How trashy is that. It was insulting to be placed in this unit.

Best Things Nearby:
The resort's swimming pools and mini-golf are excellent. Also, there are many sights to see in the Poconos. Be sure to see the snake farm!

Best Things About the Resort:
The location close to our home and the swmming pools. There are also some good resturants on the resort, as well as an arcade. The resort also hosts event like pro-wrestling. You definitely need a car, though, to get around the resort, as well as the area.

Resort Experience:
This is the worst experience we have had. We were promised a refurbished unit, but ours was anything but that. Sheets were torn and sofa had holes in it. However, the kids enjoyed the pools and mini-golf. We have been to the resort before with simular results. We will not be going back anytime soon. If you go, ask for a lock-off unit or the new four bedrooms. They are pretty nice. Sorry for the late write up, but I just found out how to rate on the site.

Best Things Nearby:
Nascar race track, Bushkill Falls, commute to New York.

Best Things About the Resort:
There are many pools, and activities. The unit was very new looking and we had a loft in addition to the 2 bedrooms.

Resort Experience:
Tucked within the Pocono mountains, this is a lovely resort. We must have gotten there during a slow week, because the resort seemed empty. There was a lot of remodeling going on in many of the buildings, but it wasn't noisy and didn't disturb us at all. The unit was multi level with many stairs, the bedrooms on the bottom level and the washer and dryer on that level. The kitchen and living area on the middle level and a winding staircase up to the loft. Our grandson thought he had a room all of his own instead of having to use the pull out couch.

There are resort activities, and resort entertainment. We enjoyed watching the Canadian geese and the ground hogs.

We were lucky enough to schedule our week in time for all the guys to go to the Ponoco 500. They loved it. The girls went the same day on a bus to New York City. They loved it.

We had been waiting for another resort in Pennsylvania, so this was an alternate choice for us. As it turned out, this was a wonderful place.

Worst accomidations we have stayed in yet. I would not recommend this place to a friend. The place is not well kept.

We were told we were being put in a refurbished unit. I had called several weeks in advance to request this after reading reviews. I also did this through RCI. Our unit had torn curtains, furniture, sheets, and a 1970 style carpet.

Grounds are a mess. Lots of "wild-life" picking at the trash that is left out on the curb for pick up.

No cleaning of the villa. Sign on door tells you that you can exchange towels for a fee, as you have a washer and dryer in the unit. So why did we pay an exchange fee with no kind of services? Oh yeah, the one roll of toilet paper per bathroom was a great indicator of things to come. We couldn't have cleaned even if we wanted to, the sweeper was broken!

We left two days early. Won't be going back.

Best Things Nearby:
There is a virtual smorgasbord of activities nearby, from nightclubs to casinos to theater to restaurants, including fast food type dining, as well as the vast array of "touristy" types of activities along Route 209, like the Doll Museum, Indian Museum, and Country Junction. Then there's the Pocono Flea Market, used bookstores, and many major cities and thoroughfares within driving distance.

Best Things About the Resort:
You could virtually remain on the resort all week without leaving and enjoy yourself. What with the pool, golf course, paddleboats, activities for the family, and the restaurants nearby, not to mention horseback riding, walking, and even reading a good book from the library.

Resort Experience:
Our accommodations were very nice. Our unit, which included a whirlpool tub, had a very large kitchenette, although there was no dishwasher, and the silverware was at the bottom of the kitchen cabinet, so it was a little inconvenient to keep bending down for it. Then there was the focus on what is becoming commonplace - "recycling" - and there were bins for various items, such as glass, tin cans, and the like. There was also a washer and dryer above us as you went up the stairs. Plus, and this was a big plus - the Hot Water was superb, and there was lots of it, and the unit was heated very nicely. The walls were built well, as we could barely hear our neighbors around us. A real nice treat!!
