Law Cranberry Resort

We stayed in the two bedroom townhouses, which were spacious and clean. The kids loved the whirlpool tubs, while I enjoyed the gas fireplace. The laundry facilities were great to have with the limited towels they provide. Kitchen was well-equipped.

Regulating the heat in the master, lock-out bedroom was a real skill, but I had it mastered by the end of the week!

Best Things About the Resort:
This all-season resort has an 18-hole golf course, eight tennis courts, two outdoor pools and one indoor pool. Horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, cave exploring, a marina, and water sports.

Resort Experience:
This is a very enjoyable resort I can highly recommend. The unit was easily accessible for my mother-in-law's weelchair and added to the enjoyment of the stay.

Resort Experience:
We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Cranberry Resort. We were told that for the price of $89, we would be able to spend the weekend in the Cranberry Inn and would receive a gift certificate for $30 to dine in one of their restaurants. The only catch was that we would have to view their sales presentation.

Before we arrived we had high hopes. Cranberry Resort is apparently a Gold Crown Resort so we were expecting luxurious accommodations and fine dining. This was not the case. When someone describes their accommodations as an Inn, I picture a quaint bed and breakfast. This could not be further from the truth. In reality the Inn at Cranberry Resort is nothing more than a motel.

Even the amenities that we used were not what I would expect from a Gold Crown resort. The swimming pools were very small, very old and crowded. We used our $30 gift certificate for breakfast at the Cranberry Cafe, which is furnished in cafeteria-style tables and chairs.

During the sales presentation we were able to see the actual condos that you would be able to stay in if you purchased. Even these we were not overly impressed with. If you are considering going on a vacation exchange in Ontario, I would recommend that you stay at Carriage Hills Resort near Barrie instead. This resort is much nicer and in my opinion truly deserving of a Gold Crown Ranking.
