It was an OK place. . . we stayed here for one night while waiting for my apartment to open up. The rooms were clean and it wasn't too hard to get to sleep. They played The Sound of Music in the lobby every night, if that interests people.

The place was recommended by a fellow traveller I met in Halstatt. It was nice, and very lively. I met tons of interesting people here. The place in itself was clean and I was able to sleep very well. If I wanted to go back to Salzburg I wouldn't mind going back there.

Simple dorm style rooms (some up to 8 beds, doubles and quads avail. w/ reservations), sometimes mixed in co-ed, comfortable, crowded, loud and raucous...not for the faint-hearted, but for those that enjoy cheap digs and hanging with a fun blend of travelers from all over the world, getting drunk downstairs in the bar and dancing on the tables nightly, or jeering at the daily showing of the Sound of Music, this is one of Europe's most exciting and fun youth hostels.
