Humboldt House
We found a very cute yellow Victorian home in a quiet area, close to downtown, to spend one night. We chose to stay in the Mikado room, a Japanese style room, complete with a king sized bed, jacuzzi spa and fireplace. Quite romantic! The homemade chocolate truffles were yummy! As was breakfast - you choose seafood crepes, continental breakfast, or a couple of other items. There are no phones in the rooms, but you may use the phone in the library - free for local calls. Small refrigerators are located in each room. We thought it was a deal - the exchange rate for US to Canadian $ was good, we went during the low season, and on a Wednesday, we paid approximately $105.00, including the 14% tax - and you may qualify for a 7% tax rebate.
