Top luxury accommodations, both the one-bedroom and 'bachelor' suite units. Top quality bedrooms, mattresses, and furniture. TVs in each bedroom as well as in the living room. Great fireplace and appliances made our weekend getaway great.
There is an IGA grocery store 5 minutes away and a big refrigerator to store groceries, so you don't need to leave the unit. Of course the in-room hot tub is a big draw; it was nice to soak together with a glass of wine and a book.

Best Things Nearby:
Town of Barrie, lots of shops, and a mall or two
Best Things About the Resort:
Indoor/outdoor pool, restaurants on-site, quiet in the woods, exceptionally clean unit
Resort Experience:
Check-in was quick and easy. We went right across the parking lot for beverages and then drove to the unit, 5 minutes. It was a very nice one-bedroom Jacuzzi suite, with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, etc. We hiked most days and then hit the hot tubs. There is a casino (20 minutes). We saw a rock concert, ate, and had a great time. We signed up for a murder-mystery dinner at the resort our last night, the best time we've had in years. We laughed
till we cried. I highly recommend it if you get the chance.

Barrie, Toronto, CasinoRama.
Best Things About the Resort:
The units are large and spacious. The indoor pool is an added bonus. On-site movie rental is a nice perk. The on-site restaurant is fabulous!
Resort Experience:
The resort is beautiful! Our two-bedroom unit was large and well maintained. The full kitchen could have used a griddle, but the office does have extra cookware available to sign out. The lockoff unit added that extra little bit of privacy for our family. We took advantage of the directions to CasinoRama, which is about 30 minutes away, for a fun night out. The day trip to Toronto is fun, lots of excellent shoppping. Try the Senator for dinner!

Best Things About the Resort:
Indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs, planned activities, great staff, unit accommodations, and security
Resort Experience:
You will need a car to get around. It would also be helpful to contact the Barrie, Penetang, and Orillia Chamber of Commerce to find out what is happening in those areas while there. We attended a top-notch brass band concert in Barrie with a world-renowned trumpeter as a guest artist. It was wonderful. I understand that summer theatre in Penetang is great (Drayton Theatre). It's definitely worth the trip. The food is amazing. We ate home-cooked meals in our unit!! We can't say enough about this resort!

The rooms are beautiful. Everything you would possibly need or want is in the rooms, and if you do not see it, you can call the desk and borrow it.
