Flea market, Delaware water gap and river, and the many restaurants

Best Things About the Resort:
Pools, bingo, golf, and tennis

Resort Experience:
The resort has many units spread out over a huge area. Lots of geese roam through the grounds. There is a shuttle bus service throughout the resort. It is good for walking and jogging. There are plenty of restaurants at the resort.

Best Things Nearby:
Bushkill Falls, Lakota Wolf Preserve, Camelbeach Waterpark, and horseback riding.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was roomy and clean. The kids enjoyed sleeping in the loft, which had two twin beds. The other two bedrooms each had a queen bed and a TV. Kitchen utensils were adequate. The jacuzzi tub in the master bath was very nice. The other bathroom had a tub and shower. The resort has several swimming pools (one indoor). Their Event Center always had something scheduled each night. The game room is big.

Resort Experience:
It's a quiet getaway, but with lots of things to do. The swimming pools were nice. Horseback riding is available right on the premises, bumper boats, and an event center where they schedule different activities each day. The kids enjoyed the game room, and the resort restaurants were good.

Best Things Nearby:
Delaware River for kayaking.

Best Things About the Resort:
It had a nice golf course, although we did not use it.

Resort Experience:
The resort was large, but we did not feel crowded, and it did not seem noisy. The main building contained several different restaurants. We ate at two of them, and they were good, and the convenience was nice. The pools were nice and clean.

Our unit was a two-bedroom and well laid out. It was outfitted with everything that we needed. Our sofa was worn-looking with a few rips, and there was a stain in the carpet, but other than that, the resort was quite nice.

There were several activities every day, which is great - especially for children. WE had only one daughter travelling with us, and the activities gave her a way to meet friends.

Best Things Nearby:
Several indoor swimming pools on the property to choose from. A ski resort is a few miles down the road.

Best Things About the Resort:
There's so much to do, and it's such a beautiful setting.

Resort Experience:
These are townhouse-style units with three levels. Ours was located on a hill, so we walked upstairs from the parking lot, upstairs to the front door, and upon entering the unit, saw more stairs! The unit is beautifully appointed. A half-bath is on the entry level. You can then go down to the master bedroom, which has a sitting area, sliding glass door, and a whirlpool bath. You go up to the main floor (living room, dining room, and kitchen) and up another level to the second bedroom and bath. A landing on the top level has a rocking chair and is a nice place to sit and read or stare out the window while waiting for the kids to go to sleep! A big downside was the temperature in the master bedroom. There was a noticeable 10 degree drop in temperature as you reached the lower level.

An indoor pool is in walking distance and another pool and game room are in the main hotel, a 5-minute drive away. The kids' activity center was wonderful and the staff there are committed to making sure you have a good time. We played family trivia and charades. I found all of the staff to be very pleasant and friendly with one exception. The desk staff seemed more intent on having private conversations than waiting on customers. I had to interrupt conversations (after waiting patiently for 10 minutes) every time I approached the desk. This includes checking in, checking out, and asking for directions. There are always plenty of people at the desk but they are always fully engaged in personal conversations with each other or on the phone.

There is plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed beautiful drives, bowling and a movie, skiing, and the Crayola Factory. There are also stables on the property but reservations must be made in advance. The property also has a big hill for skiing or snow tubing.

Best Things Nearby:
Wilderness, Wendy's, horseback riding, New York City, vineyards, microbrewery, pottery tour.

Best Things About the Resort:
Peaceful, plenty of planned activities, great for families.

Resort Experience:
This is definitely a family/retirement resort. It is not for the singles, as the nightlife is next to none. There are plenty of activities planned by the resort. For example, a bus trip to NYC, a tour of the local vineyard, a tour of the local pottery place, a tour of a microbrewery, all at reasonable rates or free. There were also line dancing lessons, kids’ activities at all times, and horseback riding on site. A very mellow place.
