This was the worst timeshare condo we have stayed at in 20 years. The unit was not clean, and we had to call a cleaning crew as well as maintenance to fix sliders that took two people to open and close, which still didn't work correctly afterwards. Sliders on the second floor were so damaged with condensation/white unidentified substance that you couldn't see out of them. There was mold and mildew throughout the place inside as well as outside. Food was stuck on the pots and pans as well as dishes. The air-conditioner filters were so clogged with dust and mildew that we couldn't run them.

The catalog says that there is an indoor and outdoor pool and health-club facilities on-site, but they are 7 MILES away at a sister resort that didn't look much better. I don't consider 7 miles to be on-site. The recreation center also had a mold and mildew problem. Because of these problems, we ended up leaving, as two grandchildren and two adults out of the six of us there ended up sick. It was VERY shabby overall and should not be part of the RCI system. We thought that it would be the same caliber of condos that we have had in the past 20 years, but this was by far a budget condo, and we are not used to this type of accommodation.

Best Things Nearby:
Claws and Paws is a great zoo to visit.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was very nice and it was close to many attractions and stores. It was our first time staying in a timeshare condo.

Resort Experience:
We arrived late at night and it was kind of hard to find the spot where they kept the keys to the units. Then they had two John Grays and that was a little confusing, but we finally got there and the place was in great shape - everything was clean and waiting for us. The next day the office staff was very warm and friendly. We had a great time.

We had a two-bedroom loft unit. The unit was spacious and had a full kitchen. We did not have a view of the lake, but some units do--these units would also have a view of the road. There were no ammenities on site; you need a car. The resort has priveledges at a local country club that is beautiful with a terrific pool and a restuarant. The units were clean but the carpets could use a shampoo! Nice vacation if you want to get away from it all--the area is surrounded by state and federal preserves. It is very rustic.

Best Things Nearby:
Lake Wallenpaupack, Paupack Hills Country Club, and Claws 'n' Paws.

Best Things About the Resort:
Large one bedroom unit in a quiet section of the Poconos.

Resort Experience:
We were at Tanglwood Resort near Lake Wallenpaupack (the resort has four locations: mountain, golf, lake, and resort). It was a very large unit (a bit old but very clean). It's about 10 minutes from the main lodge.

We went shopping in Hawley and Honesdale. Watch out for deer - they're everywhere. This is a good starting point for visiting (less crowded than Shawnee).
