A little out of the way, but this resort is fantastic. We had a golf course view that opened out to mountains, the ocean, and across to Maui. The services were excellent, and the staff was helpful.

Best Things About the Resort:
Roomy, relaxing with everything we need. Quiet area with the golf course behind it.

Resort Experience:
If you want a place that's more like home, this is it. Not much to do on-site, it's more like condos, but we like that it feels more like home.

y bad thing is that Waikiloa is really windy. We couldn't leave our windows open much, especially at night, because the wind would whip our blinds around!

It's 30 minutes away from touristy Kona, so it's very relaxing -- ot crowded.

Best Things Nearby:
This timeshare was a bit far from the ocean and in the village of Waikoloa. The only real great thing nearby was the golf course.

Best Things About the Resort:
The condo where we stayed was more like a two-bedroom studio and provide enough room for six of us to live in for our week. It was clean and well laid out.

Resort Experience:
The kitchen and living room were seperated by a breakfast nock. The living room was spacious and was open to the lanai (patio). The master bedroom and bathroom were seperated by a walk-in closet while the other bedroom shared the bathroom with the rest of the unit. There was air conditioning in each room and ceiling fans. It took us a day or two to figure out the air conditioner (Tip: point the remote at the unit). The grounds were clean and the landscaping was beautiful. Everything was lush and tropical, even though were in the "desert" part of the island. There was a world class golf course, swiming pool, hot tub, tennis court, fitness center, and activities room. In the village there was a small grocery store that had everything you needed and was moderate for prices. Keep in mind that Hawaii grocery stores are expensive regardless. Overall, a very appealing place.

Best Things About the Resort:
we could see both snow capped Mauna Kea (the highest mountain in america) and the ocean from our terrace.

Resort Experience:
It was not an all inclusive resort, more like an apartment complex, next to a golf course that was not part of Paniolo Greens. You could get a discount by being a guest at Paniolo, but otherwise it was misleading in the RCI description of the resort. A diehard golfer would have been disappointed.

The pool was nice and the hottub was really huge, so it accommodated our whole family of 5 and others comfortably. The activity center was not opened all the time so the kids did not do anything there.

Given the island we were on with so many natural wonders to take in, we spent few daytime hours at the complex. The tennis courts were nice.

If you just want a home base to go to after you've done all of your sight seeing then it's a great place: the 2 bedroom was actually more like a 3 bedroom, it had a sitting room with a TV and a third bathroom. We have 2 15 year old girls and a 10 year old boy, so the sitting room was his room and he had his own bathroom, much to the girls delight. There were 4 TVs, 4 balconies, a full kitchen. We saved alot of money cooking a few meals there: microwave, stove, dishwasher, all the pots, pans and dishes we could ever need just like home.

Best Things Nearby:
A full size grocery store was nearby and the prices were reasonable too.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was away from the traffic on Kona but still within a half an hour of Kailua-Kona and Waimea Village. They had an orientation meeting that explained the different activities available. Different speakers talked about their activity. It was much more informative than reading a brochure.

Resort Experience:
The condo was spacious and had a large master bedroom and a smaller bedroom. It has two full baths and a full size kitchen. We had breakfast every morning on the patio and watched the golfers. Our unit faced the west, so we could see the sun come up in the morning.
