The accommodations were just like every other Holiday Inn. The bathroom and room were clean. Everybody was pleasant to deal with and checking in and out was very easy. The great part of this place is the packages they offer. We used the park-and-fly package, and it more than paid for itself. They allow you to leave your vehicle there for free for up to two weeks. BWI charges over $10 a day to leave your car onsite. When we returned, the car was exactly where we left it and hadn't been tampered with, so I don't think there are many safety concerns.
The hotel is in a nice area, although not close to downtown. It is about 12 miles away from the Inner Harbor, but it's not a bad drive. There is a hotel shuttle that runs through the night to BWI airport. We had a little trouble finding the shuttle at the airport to return to the hotel though. We ended up catching a cab back to our car, but it was only about $10. Make sure to specify to the cabbie the Holiday Inn Express. We ended up at a regular Holiday Inn close by and had to give him directions to our place. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're planning on flying out and leaving your car. What a deal!!
