Best Things Nearby:
The scenery, of course, is always breathtaking. Everyone enjoyed the skiing, and shopping in Santa Fe is always a favourite.

Best Things About the Resort:
Units are large and pool complex is great.

Resort Experience:
Relaxed and beautiful - this is the best I can describe our vacation. We come here every year and everyone always enjoys themselves. We even had snow the size of golf balls, but it didn't seem to be hail - just swept it away and went on our way.

Best Things Nearby:
There are several things nearby from the famous Pagosa Springs hot springs (which we did not do) to hot air balloons to the Durango Silverton railroad to all sorts of horseback riding, etc. There is more to do here than can be done in a week. But be sure to take time to just relax and enjoy the scenery and the quiet.

Best Things About the Resort:
The best thing about this timeshare was the amount of room. We were in the older Eagle's Loft area right next to the lake. These are huge units listed as two bedrooms which are on the main level (up a flight of stairs from where you park in the carport). Each of these rooms has a queen bed. The main level also has a living room and dining area as well as 2 bathrooms. Then there is the loft which has two double beds and another table and set of chairs. The lower level has a private large whirlpool tub. Each unit is free-standing and were impressive units in their day.

Resort Experience:
We liked the amount of room, but were again disappointed in Fairfield's total lack of housekeeping and maintenance. These units are literally falling apart. On the outside we noted many areas of bare wood siding, torn or missing weatherstripping, and even windows that were falling apart. Inside, there were cobwebs everywhere, one of the toilets ran all of the time, and one of the tubs dripped constantly. Apparently the only housekeeping done is to change the linens and towels, and to clean the bathrooms. This is the second time we have noted such substandard maintenance and housekeeping at a Fairfield property leading us to conclude that this is most likely pervasive at all Fairfield properties. It makes one wonder what happens to the $25,000 or so of maintenance fees that are collected on these units each year. Nevertheless, we did not allow the poor condition of our unit to spoil our time, and would even consider going back while hoping for some improvement between now and then.

Best Things Nearby:
The best thing to do near by this resort is play golf on the resorts somewhat respectable golf course. There is also a halfway decent hot spings resort about 4 miles down the road. But other than that, there is absolutely nothing to do in Pagosa Springs, no skiing, no white water rafting, nothing.

Best Things About the Resort:
The best thing about this timeshare is the drive away. I have never experienced a place so gloomy or boring as this and would definitely never recommend it to anyone.

Resort Experience:
This resort is situated about 5 hours south west of Denver. There is not much to do there and the worst part is that there is no air conditioning. For the most part, there is absolutely nothing to do hear. The resort amenities may seem wonderful, but they are far from it. The golf course is dry and arid. And the miniature golf course is worn and torn. There is a recreation center, but they forget to tell you in the description that it is an extra $10 to get in. The rooms were awful and there is no maid service. I would never recommend this resort to anyone.

Best Things Nearby:
Wolf Creek is 30 minutes to the east, Durango is 60 minutes to the west, the Hot Springs are in the town that's a little over a mile away and Mesa Verde National Park is a side trip away. A grocery store, liquor store, banks, restaurants, and gas stations are all close by.

Best Things About the Resort:
The shared hot tub in the back of our unit was perfect after skiing. There are many activities offered by the resort and the area. The people are also very laid back and friendly.

Resort Experience:
The resort itself is quite large with a variety of unit types and sections. We had an A and B unit in the Peregrin section. Each unit had a full kitchen, dining room and a wall unit bed that pulled down into the living room. As you walked down the hallway to the bedroom there was also a washer and dryer. We could have easily fit four couples privately, I wish we would have known that beforehand although it was also nice just to be alone with my wife. The best part of the unit was the eight-person jacuzzi in the room just outside the sliding glass door in the living room. You share this room with the A and B units adjacent to yours. Luckily for us, our neighbors left the second day we were there so we had it all to ourselves.

The grocery store is nearby so we made great meals in the condo, but we also went to several restaurants. I love German food and the Bavarian Inn did not disappoint, that is our number one suggestion. If you're in a Mexican mood, try Los Montanas or if you want a casual burger hit the Bear Creek Saloon in town. Our final recommendation would be the Hog's Breath Saloon which is next to the Timbers. The Timbers of Pagosa is the closest and largest bar. There are also a number of little dive bars in the town which is only a mile or so away. The town is small so you may have to bring the night life with you.

A must in town are the hot springs, they are open late enough to visit after you get back from skiing. There are a number of shops and if you go past the main part of town on the left there is another shopping center filled with specialty stores that has an outdoor skating rink in the back. There also many trails to go hiking.

Best Things Nearby:
Durango Silverton narrow Guage Railroad. Wolf Creek Pass. The Springs. Down town shops.

Best Things About the Resort:
Spacious. Modern. Overfurnished. Location.

Resort Experience:
A spacious condo with everything you could want in accommodations, including a corkscrew. The dishwasher, along with a washer and dryer, was a blessing. Four television sets hooked to cable, two VCRs, and two stereo units provided for all the electronic entertainment we could want.

The shared hot tub was great, and sure felt good after a day playing on the snow.

The staff was super friendly and very family oriented. Check in was so smooth, even at a very late arrival of 12:30 AM. Information concerning local events was readily available.

The recreation center was fabulous. Contrary to another review, we did not have any trouble getting all the passes we could use. The younger generation of our group loved the available activities.

It sure would be hard to go back to a "Motel" vacation after staying at a place like this!
