Best Things Nearby:
Golf everywhere at various rates. Downtown Palm Springs is a shopping and dining paradise.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very friendly staff and well-kept grounds. Maid service to change towels and take out garbage. Usually a daily activity available. Very friendly staff.

Resort Experience:
Beautiful resort. The one-bedroom was converted from two hotel rooms, so the set-up was a little different but very roomy and comfortable. One side was the kitchen and living room, and the other side was the bedroom, bathroom, and closet. The kitchen was small but well-equipped. It had little storage space for our purchased food items. We had to use the top of the fridge or the counter. The first morning's coffee/tea/hot chocolate is supplied, and although the resort information book stated we could purchase more for $1 each, we were restocked at no charge. Good-size living room with TV and balcony. The large bedroom also had a TV and a balcony. No closet in the bedroom, but we used the large closet in the hall next to the bathroom. They supplied us with hotel sized shampoo/conditioners, soaps, dish liquid, and salt and pepper. There's daily maid service for the towels and garbage, and more bathroom supplies are available if used. Our kitchen faucet had quite a leak but was repaired while we were out on the same day we reported it. We did not use the pools, but they looked very clean.

beautiful golf courses

Best Things About the Resort:
quiet pool

Resort Experience:
It was a three-story wonder. Very nice and neat. Easy to get comfortable in and around. There was a quiet pool on the "west-side" of the property. There was a video rental machine which I don't understand why anyone would want to do this being that there was soo much to discover not far away. I didn't have a chance to visit the waterpark which was walking distance from the resort. There were numerous strip malls not far from the resort also. There was also an International Eatery not far from the resort that I absolutely wanted to try, but didn't.

Best Things Nearby:
Golf course, shopping malls, museums, restaurants, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.

Best Things About the Resort:
There is a quiet pool area just for adults and a pool for children and anyone else.

Resort Experience:
There are a lot of smokers at this place. The hallway reeks of it. I'm used to a non-smoking timeshare, so it bothered me slightly. We received a studio unit overlooking one of the pools and the Arnold Palmer Tahquitz Creek Golf Course. I walked out to the balcony, but it was so hot, I didn't bother to sit out for too long.

The studio unit was just the right size for two people, although the bed was very small for a queen. It looked more like a full size bed. The microwave that was provided was also a convectional oven. There was a stove top and a full-sized refrigerator. There was complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Additional items were to be purchased for $1. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided. There was a book at the vanity table with a list of rules and regulations and various nearby establishments. Due to the advertisement, we went to see a nearby winery for wine tasting.

There is a guest lounge with exercise equipment and a dry sauna. My sister and I tried out the sauna and found that it felt like being in an oven for a short time. I think I will try out a steam sauna before I give up on saunas. I noticed graffiti on the ceiling of the sauna and in the bathroom. I found it unfortunate that an RID-class resort would actually have graffiti in the bathroom. Who are the guests coming to visit? I also found it a little deceptive to call it a resort and spa. I thought that there would be a day spa available, but the only spa that I saw was the jacuzzi spas at either end of the pool in front of the lobby and the sauna. It was still definitely nicer than just a motel, but I am not sure if it's worthy of the RID status since I have been in other RIDs better than this resort.
