Description: As this was a work trip I didn`t stay in backpacker accommodation so I can`t make any recommendations there! In Bangkok we stayed at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel, one of the big skyscrapers. This was a really nice hotel, great pool outside on the 8th floor with a nice view. It`s attached to the MBK shopping centre which is enormous and full of lots of interesting things as well as some department stores and fast food outlets. It`s quite central for both the Skytrain and Hualamphong Train Station. Down at Phuket we stayed at the Cape Panwa Hotel which was a little hit and miss. The surroundings were beautiful.
