Description: Located on 20 acres in the heart of Scottsdale, the Hilton Scottsdale is in a prime location for any traveler. The resort is located just 15 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, and just 10 minutes from Scottsdale Airpark. This location is within very close proximity to world-class shopping, great nightlife and dining, fine galleries, museums, theaters, and an abundance of championship golf. The mood is set prior to even entering the lobby. The façade attracts attention. You can’t help but look at the Hilton when you’re driving on Scottsdale Road. The lobby also makes a statement. I imagined an urban cowboy designing the space; contemporary lines meet Western ware! The Hilton definitely exudes a tasteful flair.
The resort does not provide transportation from the airport; however, guests will be taken to any destination within 3 miles. That will get you to the Scottsdale Fashion Square and a number of restaurants. The standard rooms are fairly standard for a resort caliber establishment. For the $89/night that you’ll pay during the off peak season, and the $299/night that you’ll pay during the winter months, you might be left scratching your head and wondering if your shopping sprees are included! Most rooms offer terraced patios and French doors with nice views of Camelback Mountain. Some rooms have high speed internet capabilities, others do not. There are two full restaurants and one pool side bar on the property. Of course, all the typical resort amenities are available. The pool and spa are crystal clear and beckon the serious sunbather. A well-equipped fitness facility, complete with cardio and weight training equipment, free weights, a sauna and steam room, is available to all guests. Also on the property, you’ll find a gift shop, beauty salon, car rental agency, and full spa.
This resort is an exceptional property in an exceptional location. I feel it’s a great value for the money if traveling during the off peak, summer months. However, at $299/night during the peak season, I might look around a bit before pulling out the Visa card.
