The kids were a bit bummed that there was no water park. We toured it, and when it opens late this year, it will be great. The kids enjoyed the pools and diving boards, arcades, and the mini-golf is tough. Whew. Never knew mini-golf was like a real sport – ha ha.

If you’d like a great view of the resort, take the ski lift and ride up the mountain - the view from behind the radio tower is incredible. Also, the view coming back down is pretty great also.

All in all, a great resort - so great we bought more weeks from Cindy O. She did a great presentation and hooked us. If they call you for a free breakfast, go - it's worth the $100 Massanutten money that you can spend in the resort on activities and shows. I recommend the James Bishop illusionist show. But get there early for good seats. We enjoyed going to Luray Caverns and the Civil War memorial. We can’t wait till next time to do the Skyline Drive and all the other 125 things to do at Massanutten.

Our unit was very clean and had all the supplies needed for the weekend. We did bring extra towels for the pool but found out that they do give out towels if you forget.

Best Things About the Resort:
The best thing is the variety of quality activities at the resort. The resort also offers magic and music shows.

Resort Experience:
The accommodations were excellent. Having both an upper and lower unit enabled our family to treat the entire unit as our home for a week. We enjoyed the two Jacuzzis, gas fireplaces, the kitchen and grill accommodations, and the rooms.

The upper and lower units each have two bedrooms, a Jacuzzi, a gas fireplace, and a balcony. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds. There is also a pullout sofa in the living room.

The upper unit has a full kitchen and a screened-in porch while the lower unit has a partial kitchen with a gas grill on the balcony.

The upper unit also has a telephone in the master bedroom, but the lower unit does not. The telephone outlet in the lower unit is also not hot, so a computer could not be used on the desk in the lower unit effectively.

After being to resorts in Pennsylvania (Poconos), North Carolina (Outer Banks), and Florida (Disney), this is our favorite resort. It has the widest range of activities and the room accommodations are better than the other resorts (which were very good).
