Best Things Nearby:
Walking distance to everything: village, ski lifts, public parking, swimming lake, and amazing shopping and dining

Best Things About the Resort:

I liked its proximity to everything and its practical luxury. It had a barbeque grill, Jacuzzi, and special rooms for ski clothes.

Resort Experience:
Whiski Jack was amazing. The three bedrooms were very spacious and the dining and living areas were very luxurious. It was a great place to relax after a busy day of adventure in the area.

Whiski Jack at the Ironwood

Best Things Nearby:
This is a huge outdoor enthusiast's paradise! We spent each day of our seven-day vacation experiencing a new adventure and left many sights and activities unexplored. Summer activities include mountain biking (beginner to expert), hiking, rollerblading, skateboarding, rock climbing, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, skiing/snowboarding (expert only), golfing, ATV/motorcycling. The Blackcomb Adventure center is a haven for kids aged 8-80 and really shouldn’t be missed. Basically, if it can be done outside, the Whistler/Blackcomb area is well equipped to meet your needs. Indoor athletics are also accommodated at the community center, which has a well equipped gym, large pool, and ice rink.

The area restaurants run the gamut from simple to exquisite.

Several high-end spas also offer full treatment services, which you’ll find very useful after a day of hard play.

Best Things About the Resort:
Ironwood is located approximately 1.5km from Whistler Village. Far enough to remove you from the bustle of the busy areas and enjoy a relaxing evening of beautiful views in a peaceful setting. It’s also close enough to easily walk to the Village for dinner or a day of activities. Our unit was very spacious, elegantly appointed, and is one of two units with a private spa.

Resort Experience:
We had a fabulous vacation experience! The Whiskey Jack resorts use a central check-in facility in Whistler Village. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. They made us feel welcome immediately, answering all of our questions and helping us understand the available activities in the area. Whistler is a resort village, so I expected to receive several invitations for timeshare pitches, but pleasantly, I received only one low-key offer. I suppose at such a great location, the area sells itself, so we were free to enjoy our time there.

Ironwood is in a great location with easy access to the Village and activities. There is a bus stop located immediately across the street from the front entrance. However, I recommend that you bring or rent a bicycle for the week. The area has an extensive paved trail network which can take you anywhere in only minutes.

There are no on-site scheduled activities at Ironwood. Young children may get restless quickly. The rec. room is only equipped with a ping-pong table, and the pool is on the small side. Our unit was very well appointed, even though the furniture is beginning to show its age--everything functioned well. The weather was on the cool side--50s and 60s--and the week we there (last week of June) is before the official opening of summer activities (1 July, Canada Day). It all combined to minimize the crowds during the week, which was really appreciated.

This is a great resort, and I highly recommend it for the outdoor enthusiast or for a romantic getaway.

Location

Resort Experience:
We have fallen in love with Whistler. It has 1 mile of verticle on each of the two mountains.

At the height of the season, it is still not crowded.

Our timeshare is fully stocked - complete kitchen, outdoor grill, DVD/VHS player, sound system, hot tub

Grocery store is across the street (as well as the liquor store)

Best Things Nearby:
Whistler mountain, which could be reached by cable car, lots of walking, nearby lakes, and just generally walking around the resort and the lovely scenery.

Best Things About the Resort:
The scenery from our balcony, the large amount of things to see and do, and the underground car park, which, although difficult to find initially, was close to resort and was a safe place to keep the car, especially in winter.

Resort Experience:
As it is at the entrance to village, it can be very noisy, even in the early hours. We had an outside unit with windows on two sides, but other units, especially at the back, would be quieter but with no view. The unit itself was very luxurious, with fairly new furnishings, and very large, even for a studio. It was great, apart from a fold-down bed, which took up a lot of room and was a hassle to fold away each day. There was no place to load or unload the car without keeping an eye open for traffic wardens, which meant either carrying luggage a good distance or praying no one turned up to book you for illegal parking.

Whiski Jack at the Powder's Edge

Best Things Nearby:
The Whistler Gondola entrance is just across the street from the apartment-what more could you ask for? As you're doing up your snowboarding boots in the mornings, you can check out the length of the queue. The grocery store is open late Sunday evening.

Best Things About the Resort:
The hot tub by the window meant we could sip our drinks whilst watching the Telus live music concert, which happened to be on during our visit! A bonus! The apartment is on two levels. The downstairs shower room is also a steam room!

Resort Experience:
Powder's Edge is the closest accomodation to the Whistler gondola. This apartment feels more like a home, with far better equipped kitchen in terms of cooking utensils, when compared with Club Intrawest. There were many lidded pyrex dishes, a blender, an electric whisk, and baking trays! The two-bedroom apartment sleeps eight. There are lovely wall-to-wall mirrors everywhere, making it feel even more spacious. This apartment just feels like an apartment in the village rather than part of a resort, which was fine because we were in the heart of town. I think we had access to a nearby pool/gym, which was part of a hotel or something that had an agreement with Whiski Jack. I can't remember if we had to pay or not, but it wasn't convenient to take the lift and walk through what feels like a shopping area to get to the leisure centre, so we didn't bother.
