Paradise in the 'middle of it all'. To be quite honest we are not 'bed and breakfast' type people, at least my image and limited experience with this type of accommodation. A friend's insistence convinced me to explore this option in Key West. This choice allowed us to be literally one block away from the center of it all. The best of both worlds, romance at 'our place', yet a stone's throw from all the fun and action. What an amazing place this is. Privacy and intimacy are the operative words here. Children under 16 are not permitted--so not a 'child' in sight. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Our room and private deck (about 15'X 20')were fantastic. The pools on the property were beautiful and unique.
The staff was helpful and accommodating. When we asked for restaurant suggestions, not only were we directed to the type of place we were looking for, we were also given a wonderful restaurant guide with reviews by a food critic; just in case we happened upon an eatery that interested us. The continental breakfast served by the 'main pool' each day was beautifully presented, although was limited in scope, not fitting with the otherwise perfect experience. When my husband didn't feel up to going to the pool area to eat, the staff just gave me a large silver tray with cloth napkin to carry it to my room on. And of course the hibiscus they plucked from a nearby bush added just the right touch.
