The best thing was the friendliness of the staff. The pools and grounds are immaculate.
Resort Experience:
This was our second trip to Nassau. We specifically chose this resort, because on our first trip, we walked by and visited this resort and contemplated purchasing a unit. It was a great vacation. Our unit, however, had a mildew issue in the air-conditioning ducts. The staff made every effort to come in and address it, but I am afraid it was unsuccessful. If you have asthma, beware! However, I do want to stress that this did not ruin our trip. The resort is quaint, and again, the staff is delightful. Rooms are well-stocked with all the essentials to cook. There are no activities on site. The staff will help you with whatever you wish to do, though. This is a very quiet resort with many repeat owners/visitors. Everyone seemed to know each other, and it had a reunion atmosphere. There is no beach to speak of at the resort, but you can sit on the beach at the resort next door without being bothered.
A bus ride is only a $1 each way no matter how far you go. My husband and I actually took the bus around. Canoo's has the best food for a decent price. We saw Mario Van Peeples while we were eating one evening! My husband won at the casino. The grocery store is a short bus trip away, with reasonable prices. Paradise Island is also a bus ride away and a must-see. Don't forget the straw market!
