Palm Beach Hores Resort and Vacation Villas

We had a 1 bedroom off the living/dining room. The size was fine for the 2 of us and pretty clean. We were on the parking lot side of the building, which was the only downside of our space.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach is very nice. There are lots of waterfront restaurants nearby. Lion Safari and Duck Tours are both great for kids.

Best Things About the Resort:
The service at this resort is exceptional. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. It is very clean.

Resort Experience:
We rented at this resort for three nights prior to the exchange. RCI members get a $99/nt rate. The resort is U-shaped. Units ending with 38-48 and 04-14 overlook the pool and the ocean beyond on an angle. Units ending with 20-30 are at the bottom of the U and overlook the pool and ocean straight on. Units ending with 01,02, 49 and 50 are direct oceanfront. Units ending with 03-18 and 34-47 face out from the resort (outside of U facing the ocean). Those ending with 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, and 32 seem to have a "city" view. The units on the first floor facing the pool were blocked by a wall and landscaping, and didn't seem very nice. I stayed in 612, which was nice and then 505, which was even nicer. You can request a particular view ahead of time. They have updated some of the units with conveniences and a better layout (such as 505). We were two adults and two children, and were comfortable.

Everyone was wonderful, from the restaurant to the tiki bar to the front desk, activities counselors, activity director, housekeeping, beach rental staff, and hotel maintenance. Great service! There’s daily garbage disposal and towel exchange. There are big, plush lounges by the pool.

There is a nearby custom swimsuit place that has really nice suits. For restaurants, try the Waterway. They have greatly reduced prices before 6:30pm and half-price drinks until 7pm. There’s an excellent view and food.

The Lion Safari was fun. Diva Duck was cute, too (booked through hotel and they pick you up at the door).

One thing that everyone should be aware of is the sea lice! Palm Beach gets microscopic larvae jellyfish during the summer that sting beneath your swimsuit. My son experienced a terrible rash on his thighs and I couldn't figure out what it was. We ended up staying off of the beach because of it. I suggest that anyone thinking of visiting check out the web for further information.

I would gladly return during the spring or winter. Excellent resort.

Our trip to Palm Beach was very relaxing and enjoyable. We traveled with two children. While our rooms were extremely small, we managed. The rooms do have everything one needs for a stay.

The resort is starting to show signs of aging, although the housekeeping staff does a terrific job of keeping the rooms clean and fresh with garbage pick up daily and fresh towels.

The resort is right on the beach, so you have the choice of enjoying the beautiful ocean or the lovely pool. The pool area has very good live music with themes of the Caribbean, a mixture of songs for all ages, as well as a tiki bar and a restaurant.

I loved not having to drive every time I needed something; there is a 7ELEVEN right next to the resort as well as many souvenir shops. The Pina Coladas are great at 7Eleven and even better with a little rum added in them to take back to the pool.

The Lobby area at the resort is one to avoid if at all possible. There is a never ending amount of sales people with their sales pitch in a very small, confined area making it even difficult to check into your room.

Overall the resort was nice, but with an aging building and cramped quarters, the rating for Palm Beach Shores should be of International Distinction. They charge 6.00$ a day extra at the end of your stay.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach is steps away! We found the use of beachchairs a tad expensive, but truly worth it. Resort is near shopping and wonderful restaurants.

Best Things About the Resort:
The service and location. Truly a little piece of paradise.

Resort Experience:
From the moment you arrive at Palm Beach Shores, you are treated like visiting royality. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Paying for parking seems worth it when the valets are running all over to assist you. We took advantage of the spa (highly recommend the couples massage and the salt scrub/body wrap). Guests receive 20% off the cost of spa services.

The units are very beautiful and the bathroom is large enough to hold a dance! Kitchenette is more than adequate to cook breakfast. In fact, one evening, we made dinner to eat on the balcony. . .fabulous. The views are wonderful during the day but are really magically at night. All the palm trees around the pool are wrapped with lights!

Every day there is music around the pool that is very relaxing. Close enough to everything south Florida has to offer. You can be extremely busy or do nothing, but there are very good options!

Can't wait to go back!

Best Things Nearby:
Walk to Sailfish Marina - fishing charters, great restaurant, water taxi, shop, local artist market on Thursday.

Walk to Ocean Mall - several beach-type shops, good ice cream, convenience store, and drugstore.

Drive around Palm Beach County, which has more to do than can possibly be described here.

Best Things About the Resort:
On the beach, pleasant service, good restaurant on site, nice pool area

Resort Experience:
In a word, "paradise." Starting at the front door, you have valet parking that is very quick to retrieve your vehicle whenever needed. The door is always opened for you with a smile. The activities director inside is very helpful to set up golf, fishing, shopping, or sightseeing trips, as well as dinner reservations. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

The facilities are what I'd expect from a Gold Crown resort. Nicely appointed around the resort as well as within the unit. The pool area was clean and neat. Water was perfect and the Tiki bar had terrific Happy Hour specials. On-deck activities were common for the youngsters. Live music every day on the pool deck. The beach was clean and enjoyable - great to splash in the surf or walk and watch the sunrise.

The room had all we needed to keep our snacks and prepare meals when we ate in. Clean towels and trash collection daily to our room. The view of the ocean from the balcony was nice. In-room entertainment included two large TVs, a CD player, and a VCR. The king-size bed was quite comfortable and the oversized bathroom was pleasant for a traveling family. Laundry down the hall came in handy mid-week.

The resort was great, but getting away to enjoy fishing, golf, numerous parks, an Everglades air boat ride, and fabulous shopping was wonderful.

A highly recommended family vacation site.
