Resort Experience:
On this exchange, we had a one-bedroom unit on the fourth floor with a sunny exposure on the deck all day. The unit is large, with a living room that has a sleep sofa, a large chair, armoire with TV, VCR and CD stereo player. The decor was like new and very tasteful. The bathroom has custom millwork all in cherry wood with his-and-her sinks, tub, and good-sized separate shower. The balcony has two chairs and a small round table and offers a view of Singer Island and the beach. The kitchen is adequate, with a countertop hot plate, microwave and full-size fridge. A small dining area with a glass table for four is between the living room and kitchen area. The bedroom has a king-size bed with armoire with two drawers, one end table with drawers, one lamp table and 27" TV.
Housekeeping changes towels every day and does a complete cleanup including linens mid-week.
The architectural flair of the building is designed around the Breakers. The buildings, rooms, and site are well maintained by a uniformed, neat-appearing, professional, well-mannered staff.
One problem is laundry - only one washer and dryer per floor at $1.25 for washer and $1.00 for dryer; they are in use most of the time.
The resort has a mandatory charge for parking, $5.00 per day (includes valet service), and $1.00 per day for a room safe.
