Best Things About the Resort:
The three-bedroom unit

Resort Experience:
We booked a three-bedroom unit expecting to have a condominium, but when we checked in, they assigned us a three-bedroom house with a garage, two master bedroom suites, each with its own Jacuzzi and shower, and its own outdoor, screened, heated pool. Amazing! The resort has a small lake with water activities which unfortunately were not available because of the cooler weather. There is also an awesome waterpark but the water was freezing because it is not heated. Other amenities that we used were the large main pool, small workout facilities and a small children's recreation center. The resort is very close to DisneyWorld, a little farther to get to SeaWorld and Universal. There is a shopping plaza right next door with a major grocery store to stock up for the week.

Arabian Nights Dinner & Show; Walt Disney World; and the supermarket, which was just a 5-minute walk away.

Best Things About the Resort:
The quality of furnishings and the pool and bar area were the best things! Plus, it has its own lake for water sports! And the RCI Sales Rep Teams were good, too.

Resort Experience:
This was a beautiful accommodation. We were surprised and delighted to arrive to a very spacious one-bedroom condo. Everything was immaculate and clean, and we even received a free gift of a Minnie Mouse teddy waiting on the king-size bed! The staff was really helpful and informative about all the attractions and best deals to get the most out of our holiday. There are about five pools around the resort, but the main one is very beautiful, with Kokomo's Bar for refreshing drinks after fun but draining days at theme parks! This is an excellent family resort! There are lots of activities for kids and the adults who want to be kids again!

There is easy access to theme parks at Disney and Universal.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort was roomy, there was easy access to the theme parks, and there had nice pools.

Resort Experience:
They had very roomy units, with all the amenities needed for a family; however, the furnishings could definitely be updates. We were near the back of the resort, near new construction, which was not a bother.

The layout of the unit is good, but the bedspreads and blankets seemed old and somewhat stained - I would not let my child lay on the bedspread to watch TV. The furniture is a bit rundown.

The lake is okay- don't be pulled in by the climbing area you have to pay to get your child or yourself into, only the small and lithest of climbers will have any success actually climbing these, and it will annoy and frustrate many adults and preteens. The pools are very nice and open late, making it a nice place to cool down after a day at the theme parks, but watch out for the mosquitoes and yellow flies, especially in the smaller pools - they will eat you alive.

Best Things Nearby:
The resort is conveniently located on US 192, but away from the congested, "touristy" area. Approximately 7-10 miles from the Disney attractions.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort has a beautiful interactive water playground for children. Other water activities are located at the lake. The staff of this resort is extremely friendly and helpful. Anything we asked for was accomplished in far less than an hour.

Resort Experience:
Our three-bedroom House at Summer Bay was located on a cul-de-sac that ended quite near the main pool area and the clubhouse. The houses on one side of the street had views of the lake, but received the afternoon sun. Our house had views of a small pond and condo buildings, but we got the morning/early afternoon sun on the pool. Maintenance was helpful in showing us how to adjust the heat for the pool if we wanted to control it ourselves, or they offered to return as often as we asked them.

That each of the 20 or so houses had a private, screened pool was our favorite feature of this RCI Exchange. The house had a single car garage (with opener). Our kitchen had every utensil or dish that we could ask for. Everything was in good working order, but we were told that our house was scheduled to receive new appliances soon. Maintenance told us that our carpet (living and bedrooms) was less than 2 months old.

The kitchen had a small eat-in area. The washer and dryer were located in a closet here. Counter space was abundant as was cupboard and storage space.

The adjoining living room and dining rooms were nicely decorated. Dark green leather furniture in the living room was new. The couch and loveseat were both sleeper beds. The TV was located in a cabinet that served as a partial divider for the living/dining rooms.

Each bedroom had a television, clock radio/alarm, ceiling fan and ample closets.

The smallest bedroom had two twin beds and a bathroom with a standard tub/shower. The room was bright and sunny.

The remaining two bedrooms were both masters with king beds and LARGE jacuzzi tubs. One room seemed slightly larger than the other. Each had sliding doors to the pool area with beautiful, light blocking window coverings. Well lighted vanities and glass showers were in both bathrooms. Our mattresses had been recently replaced and were GREAT for a good night's sleep.

The only picky negatives about this house were that there was a clear glass side light next to the front door. A sheer curtain or frosted glass would have provided more privacy. Also, this resort offered VERY limited cable channels...even the popular "Nickelodeon" station was not available.

One house had been converted to an activities center. The main pool was reported to be open 24 hours (although we didn't personally check this). At the beach/lake area there was a sand volleyball court. There were boat and bike rentals available, an Adult Beverage Bar, exercise room and nice size gift store. Certain nights had musical entertainment. One night was designated "Teen Night"...a miniature golf course was near this area.
