Park Hotel

If I hadn''t spent 19 hours on a plane, it would have been hard for me to recognize much difference between my room at the Park Hotel in Hong Kong, and a room at a moderate hotel chain in the States. The Park Hotel has the reputation of having somewhat larger than average rooms, and mine was certainly quite spacious. The bathroom was clean and fairly decent size; room amenities included cable TV (several English channels were offered) and minibar. The only thing lacking was heat. While temperatures in December in Hong Kong can be fairly mild (my first day there it was in the 70''s), there were several days when I was uncomfortably cold. The hotel is surrounding by all sorts of shops and restuarants; a subway station is about 5 minutes away.
