We stayed at Sunset Cove the 1st and 2nd of January 2009. The place is a good, affordable option and it has a nice small beach area and free canoes that you can use. The rooms (cabins) are clean enough if you don't look close around the toilet. They are simple but well worth the money. They do offer a free breakfast, juice and cinnamon buns and oranges.
However, the staff was not as friendly as one would expect. The lady in the front office had the look like "what do you possibly want NOW?" on her face, as if she would rather be surfing somewhere else. I bought one T Shirt at their gift shop and upon returning home, I emailed them and kindly asked if it was possible to send me another t shirt, if I send them payment first, including payment for postage of the t shirt. I NEVER heard back from them, my email went unanswered. I felt like I was just a number to them, and I definitely decided I will NOT stay there again. The decision came after I didn't get a reply to my email inquiry. They must not feel it is very important to get return customers to stay at their place.

We had the tiniest little room, but hey, it had air conditioning and of course a private bath. And it was called 'the Seahorse Room'. It's located in a little cove with a sandy beach. They offer free use of canoes, swan paddle boats, and other water equipment along with the fishing pier. This was a fun place to swim and snorkel. I met a live seahorse when it hitched a ride on my snorkel and we could almost touch the manatees as they would silently glide by. Don't expect room service here, but for a tropical island paradise on a budget, you can't do better.
