Located on Florida Bay,this is a place that focuses on and caters to divers. There is a small shop in the office with some dive gear and amenities, on site dive rentals, PADI instruction, and a dry storage room for your gear as well. Every morning a free continental breakfast is offered, which is nice before a dive but if you plan to stay for more than a week you might find that bagels and cornflakes begin to wear a little thin.
The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the housekeepers who went so far as to do our dishes and ocassionally fold our clothes. Hobo's restaurant is located right next door which is perfect for a burger and beer after a dive.
Some other amenities include: laundry facilities, free snorkel gear, free bikes (they looked a little worn), BBQs for guest use, free kayak usage (also a little worn), hammocks, and recliners.
Overall, we were pleased with Kelly's. It's not a four star luxury resort and don't expect a lot of partying and night life, but if you want to dive you'll be happy here.
