There were decks off of the living room, both bedrooms, and a large one off the kitchen. Great views of the bay from the living room and master bedroom decks!
It was prettily decorated throughout. We had everything we could possibly need for the week. Books, too, if one had time for reading. Resort Experience:Florida Bay Club is a smaller resort, and it certainly provides a homey atmosphere. The staff was welcoming and helpful during our stay. The first day we had a problem with the stove, and a maintenance person came to fix it less than 5 minutes after we called.
On first arriving, we thought it didn''t look like too much, and there are some things that need fixing, like the umbrella tables at the pool. The umbrellas need to be replaced as they are really rickety.
The pool is heated and I really enjoyed it a couple of times. Also, the egret who was walking around the edge of the pool so often! He seemed to be a fixture, and it was fun to watch him!
We enjoyed the Welcome Party at the pool on Monday morning, and enjoyed the acquaintances we made that lasted through the week.
Our timeshare was on three levels. We didn''t use the first level at all. Did look in it and it seemed to be a studio unit. It looked so complete, all in one room - cute!
Many steps took us up to the second level where the living room, dining room, full kitchen, small bathroom, and washer/dryer were. One thing that was different was the open shelving on one side of the kitchen. There were plenty of cabinets too. The washer and dryer were enclosed behind a door in the hallway.
As I said above, the view from the deck off the living room was just beautiful! We were always seeing boats coming and going through the channel. Shrimp boats at night!
The resort has the grounds lit up real well at night! The two bedrooms, each having their own bathroom, were on the third floor. Again, there were many steps to take to get there! We didn''t mind that. The master bedroom faces the front while the other bedroom faces the rear. Ours was a queen-sized bed, and, I must say, we so admired the mahogany furniture in the bedroom - beautiful! The deck overlooked the resort grounds, the pool, and the bay.
There was a large square deck off the kitchen and a table and chairs too. It was nice to sit there and relax when we had a moment.
That deck looked out on the resort tennis court, where my husband and I played a couple of times. It was in good condition. We didn''t notice anyone playing tennis much.
The one thing that was not up to par was the carpeting in the unit. Not a priority to us.
It was a tremendous week! There are a lot of things to see and do in and around Key Largo and points south all the way to Key West. A lot for the eye to take in!
