A rather plain-looking building housing local apartments on the first through 7th floors. Pension reception is on 8th floor, and English is spoken well. Our room (#10) was very clean, with two twin beds, small couch/table area, huge walk-in closet, modern bathroom, and a nice view toward Stephansdom.
Breakfast (Austrian Contintental), from 7-10 daily in separate breakfast room, was included in the cost. Reception was able to act as concierge with taxis, tickets, etc.
GREAT LOCATION--near Schwendenplatz U-Bahn (subway). Walking distance to main square and most sights within the old-town district as well as many small, wonderful Vienna dining establishments and beer halls.
