Best Things Nearby:
Whale watching from the resort. ATV through desert/mountain area. (IF you golf, right beside course).

Best Things About the Resort:
Nice grounds, pool, lounging area. Quieter when we were there.

Resort Experience:
The resort is beautiful - grounds well maintained. No grocery store but free shuttle goes to Cabo San Lucas 3 times a day so it is easy to get to town, buy groceries, or go to other restaurants. (Restaurants at Melia are pricey.) You can also purchase "side trips"--boat excursions, snorkeling, etc--on site.

Los Cabos - area has "small town" atmosphere - we really enjoyed life in the slow lane. Not a party resort - half an hour into town to nightclubs so if that is your sole interest in traveling to the area, pick a location closer to Cabo San Lucas. We liked the area. Would go back.

The accomodations were awesome. Five Stars. There are 4 restaurants that serve all kinds of different things,My favorite was the one out by the pool and I wouldn't recommend the one right at the hotel unless you like Fine Dining. You know the pretty spoonful of food in the center of your plate for $20, 3 bars (one is in the pool), and the private swimming beach. There are very few swimming beaches there due to the currents so that was a plus. You could stay there and never have to leave. Down on the beach they offered every water sport that I could think of. They also have a free shuttle bus into town and back. Major Plus because there is no where to walk to, unless your an olympic walker. I guess that's why they make sure you have everything you need right there.
