This is a large hotel situated about 20 minutes, a $40 cab ride, from downtown San Lucas (one of the few negatives of the resort in my opinion). Two types of accommodations share this property, the hotel and timeshare. The multiple pools make it easy to find the atmosphere you are looking for (be it active with kids or quiet lounging), they are well maintained and very relaxing. The pool with the swim up bar was very warm, which was appreciated since we were there in January. Attendants at the pool are hospitable, and very efficient when taking drink orders, or setting up lounge chairs. The pool lounge chairs even include some luxurious queen size beds. Rooms were very clean, with large marble bathrooms that included, showers, separate large tubs, and a speaker system to hear the TV in the other room. Dining at the hotel ranged from the pool bar menu, to upscale Italian fine dining. We enjoyed food at both, and were impressed with the extensive wine list at the Italian restaurant. Although, the poolside shrimp quesadilla was the favorite and worth eating numerous times. The drinks were small and expensive. We spent more on food, in 3 days at this resort, than a week at another hotel. The resort is very isolated, on a beautiful stretch of the Pacific, and with rocky waters that make it impossible to swim. Unfortunately, this seclusion made us feel limited in our ability to enjoy all of Cabo. The long winding approach to the hotel makes a walk to the local transportation very unappealing. I would suggest staying here if you want to enjoy the resort aspect of lounging at the pool only, and/or willing to pay to leave.

The rooms were a little too small but nice. We thought a hotel room would be a little bigger than a studio. Maybe the one and two-bedrooms were a nice size.

Best Things Nearby:
THE TOWN OF CABO SAN LUCAS WAS QUITE INTRESTING. THE GOLF COURSES WERE BEAUTIFUL RIGHT ON THE RESORT'S PROPERTY.

Best Things About the Resort:
THE SWIMMING POOLS WERE NICE. THE RESORT ITSELF WAS BEAUTIFUL. THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TO DO AT THE RESORT.

Resort Experience:
I WOULD NOT RETURN TO THIS RESORT IN THE NEAR FUTURE, BUT PERHAPS MAYBE I'D RETURN IN FIVE YEARS TO SEE IF THEY'VE WORKED OUT SOME OF THE PROBLEMS THAT OCCUR WITH NEW RESORTS. AS I SAID THOUGH, THE RESORT ITSELF IS BEAUTIFUL.

Best Things About the Resort:
The employees treat you like kings and queens.

Resort Experience:
The most friendly people you meet. They always greet you with a hello. Their three restaurants were great. Make sure you meet Armondo in Cafe Del Mar -- he'll make you want to stay there forever.

The facility is beautiful. We stayed in the timeshare section, which has a private pool. The hotel pool, which is huge, was also easily accessible from our room. Our room was a hotel unit, small, but nice. The view was fabulous -- palm trees and the ocean. The resort's grounds are spread out over a large area and when you check in you take a golf cart to your room. Golf carts will also pick you up and bring you back to your room from anywhere within the resort complex, but we preferred to walk. The grounds are beautiful and it was a nice walk. If you rent a car, parking is underground. You drop off and pick up your car from the hotel lobby, which wasn't a problem. The staff was very accommodating.
