The hotel was beautiful, with great staff service. I highly reccommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the Atlanta area.

The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta

Talk about business luxury. The Ritz Carlton Atlanta may no have desks and chairs, but they sure cover their bases with everything else they offer. In town for a big banquet and ripped your tux and lost the cufflinks? No problem, the on-site seamstress will take care of you, as well as throw in some new cufflinks compliments of the Ritz. They also offer technology butlers that can help you with your computer needs during your stay at the hotel. It’s like a room service for those who need some, well, technology! A few extras the business person may like are the free overnight shoeshine and the free daily newspaper. There is also high-speed Internet access, as well as two phone lines with conference-calling features. The hotel also can help arrange limo services, so you can get around in style in your newly sewed-up tux!

This hotel can be summed up in just one word, Luxurious. This was actually Atlanta''s first luxury hotel and it continues to lead the way - especially following a $10.5 million renovation in late 1999. The room I stayed in overlooked Peachtree Street but it got rather noisy since I was there during Freakneak. The hotel also took on a look of being under seige with the front doors barricaded and everyone having to use the auto entrance.

But that still couldn''t take away from the elegant surroundings of the public rooms and my guest room. While the hotel has 25 floors and 441 rooms, it seems much smaller. Among the things my room came stocked with were a mini-refreshment bar, an AM-FM clock radio with CD player, and even a bathrobe. If you can''t afford the regular rates of the Ritz Carlton, between Jan.1 and March 31, 2001, the hotel, inconjunction with American Express are offering rooms for $135 per weekend night and a rate of $224 per weekday night.
