This is a basic hotel of Cape Cod. Most hotels in Cape Cod are really motels but a little bigger. If you are looking for a classy hotel with top notch service and rooms, Cape Cod is not your thing. Most hotels/motels on the Cape are two story buildings whose rooms open out to the parking lot. They all seem to smell a bit moldy and ocean-ish and have a seventies-room decor going. The Flagship is no exception but it is the best of the Cape, at least the Upper Cape. The rooms are a good size and are clean. Basic but not shoddy. It has both indoor and outdoor pools and a hot tub. It has a playground. The staff is typical Cape Cod people-very nice and down to earth but don''t expect impeccable service. This is the Cape, not downtown Boston. These people probably make $7 an hour. I also like the hotel because it is in the midst of "The Strip". You can eat in a multitude of restaurannts, shop at anything from small gift shops to large brand name outlets. You can mini golf, jump on trampolines, climb rock walls. On this - Walking Distance. The beach is probably a ten minute ride in the car.
