Best Things Nearby:
Mashpee Commons (the outdoor shopping mall area with both cute and high-end shops)

Best Things About the Resort:
Indoor tennis ($10/hour for resort guests) and the indoor pool

Resort Experience:
Although I would consider returning to the resort if I were to come to the Cape again, I had a few issues.

The first thing I noticed when I got in the unit was that the sitting/TV area smelled. When I got closer to the sofa, I realized that this is where the offending odor came from. It smelled like body odor. On top of that, the wicker sofa we had was extremely uncomfortable.

Also, on day 3, we started to get pincher bugs in the bedrooms. I would say we had one or two per day in the master bedroom and master bathroom and a couple in the hall bath as well.

And this was in March.

We didn't complain to the resort about either issue, so I am not complaining about their response to it, just the fact that it happened.

Otherwise, the resort staff was friendly and the indoor tennis courts were well lit and kept up nicely. I loved that they had water coolers available on both courts. For people staying in the resort, the price of the courts was $10 per hour (although I think it should be free).

Best Things Nearby:
Multiplex movie theatre, shopping, and the "99" Restaurant has great meals. Martha's Vineyard, 15 minute drive to ferry Hyannis, Cape Cod Potatoe Chip Factory, Route 130 - Cape Cod Coffee Roasters - fresh roasted is the best.

Best Things About the Resort:
Activity cooridinator Carol was very helpful. Indoor pool is heated around 90F, but the building is not heated.

Resort Experience:
The resort is not the most up to date. It is "rustic" in nature. I would recommend it if used like a bed and breakfast. It would not be ideal for spending a lot of time on site.

The best feature of the resort is its location. Easy to get everywhere from here.

Best Things Nearby:
Close to Falmouth and Woods Hole. Access to South Cape Beach, a National Beach.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very spacious townhouse, two bedrooms, two baths. Full kitchen. Jacuzzi in master bath. Deck facing woods off the living room. Indoor/outdoor pools and tennis courts.

Resort Experience:
The units were very spacious. The kitchen was a full kitchen with a breakfast bar plus a separate dining area and large living room with TV and cable. There was a TV in the master bedroom, but not in the second bedroom, although there was a cable connection.

We fully enjoyed the jacuzzi in the master bath. Although it was a single (maybe two) person hot tub, it has three powerful jets and was very relaxing.

Maintenance was very prompt in replacing a light bulb that I mentioned needed to be replaced "at some time." Linens are exchanged mid-week, towels twice a week. This unit shared a washer and a dryer located in the basement, which both operated for $.50 each.

My husband and daughter enjoyed the indoor pool and tennis courts. There is a small charge for the indoor tennis courts. During the warmer weather, there are outdoor courts as well that are free, plus an outdoor swimming pool and a children's playscape and shuffleboard.

We fully enjoyed our stay and regretted that we didn't have enough vacation time to spend a full week this year. Next year, I am planning a "women's retreat week" for our winter stay.

Best Things Nearby:
The resort is a bit secluded, but there is a small outdoor shopping mall with restaurants and supermarket nearby. There are also one or two restaurants spasmodically along the road. Beaches are a car drive away, and were deserted when we were there. There were plenty of paths for walking through the beautiful countryside.

Best Things About the Resort:
The units were beautifully furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the units clean, the grounds well tended, and the pool area well cleaned.

Resort Experience:
We had two separate units, one for each week. One was a house with an upstairs and the other a bungalow.

The lounges both had stone fireplaces and cane furniture with patio doors onto a small divided patio which opened onto a shared lawn with barbecues. We used to feed the chipmunks on the patio.

The kitchens were well equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, and washer/dryer.

Both units were two bedrooms and had plenty of storage space and a double bed. The bathrooms had a shower.

Mounes Hotel

This place was out of our price range but managed to get them down to $30. Good jump off point for Tyre and Saida. Very large hotel but we were the only 4 people there. Felt a little like "Hotel California". The rooms were nice ... a bit 70s ... in a charming way. Our balcony overlooked the Med. The dinner was very good; large platters of Seafood and fresh veg for $10!
