Pier 7 Condominiums (#3018)

Best Things Nearby:
The ocean, beaches, shopping, good restaurants, fishing, historical sights and bike trails.

Best Things About the Resort:
The converted motel unit was clean. We received fresh towels every day and the unit had two bathrooms. It's also in a good central south cape location in Yarmouth.

Resort Experience:
This resort is by no means luxurious. The one-bedroom unit we had was comfortable with two full size beds, two closets and two bathrooms. The couch in the living area was a hide-a-bed, but it was not used for this purpose. The pillows were like flat, hard pancakes! We went to a fabric store and bought some foam stuffing and went to K-mart and bought some zippered pillow covers and stuffed our own pillows. The cost was a total of $17.50 for both pillows. When it was time to pack them, we put each one in a small garbage bag and sucked the air out. The pillows took up relatively little space after that.

The indoor swimming pool was adequate, but the whirlpool was very small. We used the gas B-B-Q grill one day when we cooked our day's catch of fish from a fishing trip we went on out in the Atlantic.

Overall the Pier 7 Condominiums was not a bad place to stay considering the little time we spent there, other than sleeping. I would recommend this resort as long as most of your activities are spent around the Cape and not at the resort.

Best Things Nearby:
There are great miniature golf courses and plenty of restaurants.

Best Things About the Resort:
The indoor, heated, pool, and hot tub. Also, they had four outdoor grills with picnic tables.

Resort Experience:
The room itself was a little cramped, but better than most hotel rooms I've been in. Like I said earlier the indoor pool and hot tub were great. My fiancee and I were in the pool at least two times a day if not more. The second half of the week we were down there it rained, but we didn't even care because we still had our 82 degree pool and hot tub. Also there were outdoor grills so we cooked out at least three nights we were down there, which helped save us some money for food expenses.

Best Things Nearby:
Captain Parker's Pub, Zooquarium, Crazy Golf opposite, Yarmouth Beach, Hearth & Kettle Restaurant, Skipp's Pier 1 Restaurant.

Best Things About the Resort:
Spacious well-furnished rooms, two bathrooms.

Resort Experience:
Originally a motel on two floors. The rooms have been merged to form large spacious rooms. Cleaning was excellent. There is an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna on site. It's right on Route 28, really handy for everything. Choice of really good restaurants within walking distance -- beach about one mile and supermarket within easy reach. A good base for getting out and about.

Best Things Nearby:
Right across the street was an arcade/golf course with many activities. Provincetown (P-Town) was not far and offers lots of restaurants, shopping, and wild sights! This is a mostly same-sex-partner community in the summer(which we didn't mind at all!), and offers wonderful art and home decor and was extremely fun to shop in. It is also one of the best places in New England to go whale-watching. Several boats a day leave the harbor, bound for the Stellwagen Bank marine sanctuary, where minke and humpback whales gather between April and October.

You shouldn't try driving around as parking is difficult. Find a parking lot and pay the $10 - it's worth it. Make sure you have comfortable shoes on.

Best Things About the Resort:
Local to everything, including food and misc. shopping, wine tour, great food, Dunkin Donuts, post office, $1 outlets, etc. It was only two miles from beaches.

Resort Experience:
The room was clean, offering a main parlor with TV, shared with a partial kitchen, fridge, and dining room. The microwave is located in a central area for all guests to share (yuch!). There were two bathrooms (one full) and a bedroom with two full beds. The only drawback was the indoor pool (I prefer outdoors), however, it did have sliding doors onto a patio area for chaises and picnic tables. There is also a Jacuzzi inside the same area. For kids, there was a very small arcade and fussball table. This resort has boating available to guests, and outdoor grills with tables for barbequing.

We are going back next Labor Day Weekend (this time with the kids)!

This is a motel-style accommodation. The rooms are recently refurbished--within the last 5 years. There is a beautiful indoor pool and there is a barbeque/picnic area in the parking lot. There are no grounds and no other real ammenties, however it is central to all on the Cape and an easy drive to almost any beach or sight.
