Best Things Nearby:
Right across the street was an arcade/golf course with many activities. Provincetown (P-Town) was not far and offers lots of restaurants, shopping, and wild sights! This is a mostly same-sex-partner community in the summer(which we didn't mind at all!), and offers wonderful art and home decor and was extremely fun to shop in. It is also one of the best places in New England to go whale-watching. Several boats a day leave the harbor, bound for the Stellwagen Bank marine sanctuary, where minke and humpback whales gather between April and October.
You shouldn't try driving around as parking is difficult. Find a parking lot and pay the $10 - it's worth it. Make sure you have comfortable shoes on.
Best Things About the Resort:
Local to everything, including food and misc. shopping, wine tour, great food, Dunkin Donuts, post office, $1 outlets, etc. It was only two miles from beaches.
Resort Experience:
The room was clean, offering a main parlor with TV, shared with a partial kitchen, fridge, and dining room. The microwave is located in a central area for all guests to share (yuch!). There were two bathrooms (one full) and a bedroom with two full beds. The only drawback was the indoor pool (I prefer outdoors), however, it did have sliding doors onto a patio area for chaises and picnic tables. There is also a Jacuzzi inside the same area. For kids, there was a very small arcade and fussball table. This resort has boating available to guests, and outdoor grills with tables for barbequing.
We are going back next Labor Day Weekend (this time with the kids)!
