Hyatt

  • July 31, 2004

I was disappointed with the decor of this Hyatt. It looked like something straight out of Miami Vice. However, what the hotel lacks in atmosphere, it makes up in LOCATION. The Hyatt is right in the heart of the Sunset Strip with dining, live music venues, and comedy clubs within walking distance. The Hyatt is also the home of Justin Timberlake's restaurant in the lobby. I would stay there again but with lowered expectations. Self parking is $17 a day.

Hyatt West Hollywood 3*

  • April 6, 2005
  • Rated 4 of 5 by ongkenyong from Stamford, Connecticut
I have just returned from a four-night stay at the Hyatt West Hollywood, won through Priceline at $58 a night. I had no hiccups during check-in and was given a room with a king-sized bed, as I requested. The quality of the room and furnishings exceeded my expectations for the price paid. My fiancee and I had no problems with noise, smell, cleanliness, or service. Go to the website below to read my review of the hotel and check out the bulletin board on how to get such a great rate for the hotel using Priceline.

Hyatt West Hollywood 3*

This hotel, according to one of my favorite movies (Almost Famous), was once known as the "Riot House" in the 1970s. A gathering for LA's finest rock stars. It's tamed down since then, but taking a look around, it does make sense that rock stars would gather there.

Almost Famous filmed some scenes at the Hyatt. After filming, the hotel underwent some major renovations. The Hyatt of today no longer holds the dust of the yester-year.

The hotel is in West Hollywood and is walking distance to so many great places. Starbucks, a cowboy bar, and the House of Blues just to name a few places. The Cowboy Bar was also seen on the Real World once. I also often see pics of celebrities leaving the near-by Starbucks.

The rooms are comfortable. The balconies are a plus and lots of fun to people watch. I would go back to this hotel again and again if I could.
