This is a great hotel which looks small from the outside but offers a huge complex inside, complete with Turkish bath, sauna, and fitness centre. It officially rates four stars and it certainly deserves them. The staff members are friendly and helpful and speak a number of languages fluently. Our room was at the back of the hotel, on the top floor, with a nice view over the gardens contained within a quadrant in the centre of the hotel. The room was huge and came with a mini bar, alarm clock, trouser press, and a huge bathroom. The weather in Bruges in February was freezing and the super hot and powerful shower was wonderful, I think we had about three showers a day!
Breakfast is buffet-style continental with plenty of breads, meats, yoghurts, and a wide range of teas. The hotel is situated on one of the main canals and is less than a 10-minute walk to the main square and city centre. The hotel also has a Japanese restaurant and a bar area that offers free tea and coffee between 2pm and 4pm daily.
We couldn't fault any part of the complex and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
