The hostel itself has friendly staff manning the desk at all hours. Carrying your bags up the stairs is tough, as they get narrow at the top, so I was lucky to be on the first floor. We stayed for two nights in a six-bed dorm room with a bathroom and shower. The bathroom floor was suspect, but the bedsheets were clean. Ask for a top sheet at the desk -- the charge is supposed to be one euro, but if you are a good flirt, you'll get it for free. Our only big problem was a semi-permanent resident in our room who had been there at least a month and was, we decided, a little off-balance. We couldn't wait to leave her behind, but Zorba's itself wasn't bad, and you get what you pay for.
