The reason why I booked the hotel was because it seemed like a good deal, it was cheap and it claimed to be 4-stars. When I arrived I realized that the 4-star rating didn't mean much in Greece, as there is no standardized hotel rating system there. I got a room on the top floor with a view of the city, which wasn't very impressive at all. It was clean, but awefully small, and the truth is looked a little run-down to me.
The front desk staff was polite, but I got really annoyed by the fact that the maids would constantly ignore the 'DO NOT DISTURB' sign. They'd knock on the door, enter, and when they saw you say 'sorry... sorry' and leave.
The saving grace of this hotel was its buffet breakfast and its bar. The buffet included a lot of items on it: sausage, eggs, various breads and pastries, cold-cuts, cheese, cereals, and all the standard drinks. It was included in the price. The bar at this hotel has a really nice atmosphere. It's dark, has private booths as well as free-standing tables and has a good liquor selection, which unfortunately is rather expensive in Greece.
Hotel is located in Athens' financial district, Kifissias, about 15 minutes from the city center by bus or taxi.
As a general recommendation, I'd say if you're looking for a budget hotel, than this might be good for you, but I would shop around first. You might be able to get a similarly priced hotel at a better location. If you're looking for a real 4-STAR hotel, then stay away: you'll be very dissapointed.
