Have you ever had the urge to do something really wild and crazy...like sell all of your stuff and hop a plane to Venice? Or buy a pet monkey? Or eat a whole pint of Haagen Daaz ice cream---in one sitting? I firmly believe that everyone has their own special dream. The International Traveller's Hostel, located at 9th and Washington in Miami Beach, is my Haagen Daaz, monkey, and plane to Venice all rolled into one. With the help of The International Traveller's Hostel in Miami Beach, I was able to make my dream of living on South Beach (for a few nights) a reality. Touted as a great place for students and international travellers, I found The International Traveller's Hostel to be charming, clean, and very comfortable. People generally underestimate the usefulness of Youth Hostels. Since you are spending so little on accomodations, you can splurge on dining and other luxuries. I would recommend this colorful get-away to anyone.

For quick trips to Miami, The International Traveller's Hostel serves as a great place to hang your hat. For only $12.00/night, you can save your money for the incredible restaurants and bars nearby. Try B.E.D.(Beverage Entertainment Dining), an amazing restaurant with a unique flair. For mouthwatering Sushi, try Maiko's(which is also Cindy Crawford's favorite Sushi place in Miami.) The Delano can't be beat for after-dinner drinks. Lounging under their canopied beds or eating at a table in their pool just can't be beat!

As soon as you get to South Beach, the best way to get around is by foot. Parking is a bear. The best place to find parking for the beach is near the Days Inn off of 23rd Street...a few blocks from Lincoln Road. Bring your bike or rollerblades join the locals as they cruise up and down the boardwalk.

For $12.00/night, accomodations were clean, pleasant, and close to the beach---a real bonus. Party all night at The Delano, The National Hotel, and China Grill and then enjoy meeting hostelers from Germany, Britain, Australia, and Sweden.
