Resort
The resort is only three years old and seems to be very well run (it’s part of the Breakfree Resort group). The entrance of the resort is very classy with water features and a large sized reception desk that also doubles as a tour desk. The desk is staffed from 7am-7pm. immediately to the right of the entrance is the outdoor pool area. The pool is very clean and offers a hot tub as well as a separate kid’s pool. There is a nice BBQ area as well as a sauna, gym and change rooms. These seem to be well maintained. There is a children’s play area on the other side of the resort and there are also conference facilities available. There is a small café in the reception/lobby area, which at this stage is only open for breakfast. On the first level there is also a small beauty salon.

Rooms
The rooms are small compared to some of the other resorts on the Gold Coast. The Studio apartments would be perfect for couples not wanting a large living area. The family one-bedroom units are okay for families with young children as the single beds are actually part of the living room. The bathrooms are large and most have some kind of hot tub. All units have reverse cycle air conditioning and the usual array of amenities including small kitchenette with microwave and oven. DVD and CD players, cots and high chairs can be hired from reception for a reasonable amount. Probably the best attribute of all of the rooms is the décor. It is very tasteful which dark teals, chocolate browns and beige. Two rooms share a small laundry located outside of the rooms.

You can either stay in a one bedroom unit or in a two bedroom lock-off unit. The rooms have a spa bath, are fully self-contained, with modern furnishings and balconies. There’s a king-sized bed in the bedroom and two single beds in the living room in one-bedroom units or two mirrored units with king-sized beds for the two-bedroom lock-off units. Some rooms have ocean views. The two bedroom lock-off units are ideal for two couples, as each room is fully self-contained (its own kitchen and bathroom) and share a laundry area. These are also ideal for families, as parents can request a power point switch-off for the second room if they have small children, or leave this on if they have teenage kids. The one-bedroom unit sleeps up to four people and the two-bedroom sleeps four to six people. Six people cost an additional $28 a day per person for the fifth and sixth person.

This resort is within walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants, clubs and pubs, and public transport.
