Breakfree Paradiso

This resort would have to be my favorite of all the Breakfree Resorts we visited. The resort is decorated in a Balinese style and exudes tranquility. The rooms are tastefully decorated and are very spacious. However, the rooms are all decorated in dark mahogany, and some guests have apparently complained the rooms are a bit dark. For me, they were simply stunning.

Most rooms have fully equipped kitchens and laundries, and some even have a separate study for those unfortunate few who need to take their work on holiday with them. The resort has water features everywhere, which enhances its air of relaxation. All rooms have air-conditioning and large balconies. The resort has an on-site swimming pool, gym, steam room, and spa and is centrally located to the fine restaurants and cafés Kingscliff has to offer. The beach is also just across the road, and Byron Bay and the Gold Coast are a short drive away.

Breakfree Paradiso

Upon entering this resort, I was transported to somewhere in Southeast Asia, probably Bali, but hang on, I’m in Kingscliff in northern New South Wales. This resort, though, does give you the feeling that you are staying at a resort in Bali or the like, from the stone statues to the running water features to the louvered windows.

This resort is approximately q block from the beautiful Northern New South Wales’ famous beaches, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés as well.

The units have a Balinese theme, which is carried on throughout the resort. The units are extremely large and luxurious, with full modern kitchens and beautiful bathrooms. The two-bedroom units also have an en-suite bathroom. These units also have a stereo system, cable TV, laundry facilities, and air-conditioning in each unit. The things I liked most about this resort were the private balconies/terraces with louvered windows, which can open up to expose the balcony or close if you would like a little more privacy. These units have a very romantic feel to them.

The facilities at the resort are very good, and there is a central pool and spa area along with barbeques. The resort also has a gym and steam room.

The resort is a great alternative if the Gold Coast is booked out, as you can still visit the attractions of this area and it is only about 1 hour to the theme parks.

This is another very new Breakfree resort that is again beautifully presented. It had a somewhat Balinese feel about it, with the decor including a deep burgundy on the wooden framework. They had nice rooms with a bit more of a romantic feel to them. The main living area was in the front, the one bathroom was in the middle, and the bedrooms were at the back. The main bedroom had an en-suite bathroom.

There was a great breakfast bar in the kitchen for dining, which gave the area a very relaxed feel. There were suites on the upper levels and a spiral staircase leading to the roof, where there was space to sunbathe or have a few drinks. The pool is central to all of the units, which tower around it. It doesn’t get a lot of sun and is very small for most resorts. It is the only disappointing thing about the rooms. The Balinese theme continues throughout the resort, with fantastic statues and waterfalls and rock pools. It is very central to Kingscliff, so you can check out the town.
