Restaurant Needs a lot to be Desired

Rooms well laid out and spacious.we booked 2 aprtments of which 1 was unclean and tatty, but the other was clean and modern with the exception of a dirty air conditioner.Kitchen is well equiped. The restaurant however we found to be sub standard, especially the full breakfast which at $20.00 per head is not good value for money. We also were woken up at 5.15 the first morning by the night security guard who accused our teenagechildren of using the pool which did not open until 7.00am.All our children were in their rooms asleep as they had not slept for 24 hours and they are adults i was not impressed. The ATM was out of order for the 8 days that we were there and the bar run out of soft drinks and most beers.

We had a twin-room setup. Children were able to share a room with two singles or a double foldout sofa bed. We had our own double room with a separate bathroom. Generous kitchen and living areas made for a comfortable week. Our room was close to main road, and therefore very noisy, especially at night. The air-conditioning was great, and there was a balcony, so we didn't feel cooped up.

The BreakFree Paradise Island Resort is an excellent resort, especially for families, but I do think everyone would enjoy the lifestyle at this resort. The on-site facilities include a village bar, a brasserie, games room, kids’ club, tennis courts, computer, shop, barbeque area, exercise and steam room, lagoon-style pool, and spa.

The highlights for me included the kids’ club, a wonderful set-up for parents to leave their children at and have a bit of a break. They have the best children’s playground I have ever seen at a resort. The games room was like a little miniature Times Zone, fantastic for children or the young at heart.

The rooms were very nice. They have a mini-kitchen, laundry facilities, and a pull-out sofa. Situated with the river surrounding the resort and very close to Surfers Paradise, I would definitely recommend a visit to this one!

Paradise Island is great for young families. The rooms are large and fully self-contained. They don’t have that annoying lock problem at some other resorts, so you can keep an eye on your kids. The furnishings are different in all of the rooms, so don’t expect them all to be the same. Another good feature is the Kids’ Club near the pool. You can drop your kids off there so that you can have a holiday too. The club does require a minimum number of kids, so it is more likely to be running during the school holidays, at least more so than off-peak times. Again, it is not far from Surfers Paradise’s main drag and not far from the beach.

I was very impressed with this resort. The rooms are lovely and spacious and decorated quite modernly. Most have full-kitchen facilities with generously sized balconies. The resort facilities are great, with an on-site restaurant, tennis court, big swimming pool, barbeque area, gym, sauna, and spa and games room. The resort also has a brilliant kids' club, where kids can have fun from morning to night and even enjoy the outdoor maze area. The resort is centrally located to Surfers Paradise, and, because it’s on a river, guests can take a water taxi into Broadbeach or Jupiters Casino.
