Honeymoon Bakery Guesthouse

This place is luxurious as well as inexpensive. The rooms are beautiful and clean, decorated with traditional Balinese furniture and paintings. The beds are comfy with mosquito nets and there are ceiling fans. There are also western-style bathrooms. The grounds are lovely and lush. There is a delightful saltwater pool. This is all for the price range of approx. $15 USD to $45 USD.

The breakfast included in the room price is one of the best you will find with your choice of fresh baked goods, fruits, and juices. My favorite is the green banana pancakes with fresh grated coconut and palm syrup. The owners of this guesthouse also own 2 very successful restaurants in Ubud, Casa Luna and Indus as well as the adjoining bakery. Aside from the delicious breakfast choices included in the room fee, you may order from Casa Luna and it will be delivered to your door and added on your room tab if you wish. This can come in handy especially during the rainy season when you are likely to become somewhat stranded under shelter occasionally.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The owners are a delight. They also offer free rides to the yoga classes at Indus restaurant about 3-5 times a week. (classes cost about $5 USD). One of the best things about this place is, depending on your choice of room, you can have quite a bit of privacy, as it is a little ways out of the immediate bustle of ‘downtown’ Ubud. This can be important on a long trip.
