The resort was great! The units were very nice, the grounds lovely, the staff friendly and the location was excellent.
We really liked Dominic's for dinner. It was a tasty pizza/Italian restaurant at the boat harbor. The beach is a very short walk and the Oceanside pier is about an mile away. We walked to it in less than thirty minutes with two young children.
We drove to Coronado Island for the day and loved the beaches there! San Diego is an easy 30-minute drive. We spent a day at Disneyland and the drive was between 60 and 90 minutes.
Our family had a great vacation and we would love to go again!

In addition, the resort has pool tables, a sports court, an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and exercise room. The grounds and main office building are well kept and neat. The front desk sells tickets to area attractions and tours.
However, I have to say that while the front desk people were polite, they were not friendly. The day after we arrived we realized that our barbeque grill wouldn't start. We called down to the front desk and they didn't believe us. Finally, after 4 phone calls and over 24 hours, a maintenance man arrived and agreed the gas hadn't been turned on to the grill.
We were at the resort over Easter, so the condos were very crowded. They had an Easter egg hunt for all the kids which went over well.
The pool area is nice and large with plenty of lounge chairs. The weather was cool, windy and cloudy while we were there, so the pool area was not crowded.
The housekeeping was not up to the usual Worldmark standards and the condos looked like they had been built quickly. They were well lit and large. It is not a restful place as the building is boundaried by a large public parking lot to the front, a train track with frequent trains going by to the side, and a busy highway to the back.
There was a light shining in our eyes all night long outside which kept us awake. If they had some heavy drapes it would help as the light also came in early in the morning.
The resort is not on the beach as we had hoped. It is about a 6 block walk to the beach, with the train tracks and harbor in between. It is an easy walk and there is a bridge under the train tracks. It was fun to walk past the harbor and shops. Most of the timeshare selling that I noticed was near the shops. We were called one time but as we had no guests and we were owners they left us alone.
Worldmark at Oceanside is in a great location if you want to be halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles. It is a quick easy drive into San Diego and not too bad a drive to Los Angeles. There is a lot to see and do. They have books of things to see and do plus brochures at the main desk. I don't know if I would go back, unless I wanted to be in that area and nothing else was available.
