This was a comfy place yards away from the shore, and within walking distance of all the Grand Marias attractions. It is also expensive during peak season weekends ($110 for a Sat. night). But it was nice hearing the waves crash against the shore at night. Ask for a room overlooking the lake. Our room had a King bed and mini refigerator. The hotel also had a sitting room with a fireplace and windows overlooking the lake. It had a collection of books and games to borrow and access to the patio out back on the shore. The decor in the rooms was nothing to get excited about. Could use some updating.
The proprieters live right in the hotel, on the main floor. They were very helpful and assisted us in selecting a restaurant and gave advice on what to do in Thunder Bay the next day.
