Best Things Nearby:
Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, South Beach, Miami

Best Things About the Resort:
Right on the beach, very nice rooms, location

Resort Experience:

We stayed at this resort after staying at the Ocean Palms/Sea Gardens in Pompano Beach. Both are Gold Crown, and both deserve that rating for different reasons. I liked this resort better as far as location and being right on the beach and close to Ft. Lauderdale and shopping right down the street. The Ocean Palms/Sea Gardens, however, had so many activities, and the kids loved it a lot more. Costa Del Sol was much quieter and more peaceful. Both were great. Our unit was first right by the pool with ocean view. The bedroom was huge. Cleaning service every day was a plus. Clean towels, beds made, and unit vacuumed. Very nice.

Much different from what we are normally used to. Costa Del Sol Resort was more like having your own little apartment by the ocean. This was a one bedroom unit with full kitchen. No daily maid or concierge service. They do however supply daily pool towels at the check in desk. The units were very nice. The pool area was nice and well kept. The beach was steps away. The main pier and plenty of restaurants were all within walking distance. This would be a great place for family reunions.

The timeshare has all one-bedroom units that are clean, clean, clean. Eash unit faces the pool and beach. There are no scheduled activities, but we found that we liked the laid-back atmosphere of this small resort better than some of the bigger resorts.
