There are a lot of restaurants near by. We tried the Cantina Mexican food in front of building and it was ok. There was also a pizza place next to it. As far as activities go, they have a Monday morning get together, which we did not attend. And then there is a tour offered each day leaving from the resort. The pool area also has bbq for you to use if you feel inclined to cook.

The large Galleria Mall is also just a few blocks from the resort.
The airboat rides in Everglades National Park are easy access from here.Best Things About the Resort:We found it to be a very lovely resort. From the moment we turned the key in the front door of our unit, we loved it! It was very prettily decorated throughout -- light and airy! It was good, too, that our unit was on the first floor.
We enjoyed the view outside our rear door very much -- the yachts docked there in the water was a beautiful sight. . .and there were a lot of them! The unit had a screened-in porch, and it was just nice to sit there in the early evening and look out!
The living room was so prettily decorated, with a lovely couch, chairs, lamps, and of course, a television set. There was a nice, separate dining room (open to the living room), and one whole wall in the dining room was glass. The dining room table had a glass top. Lovely, light-colored chairs at the table for six.
The good-sized kitchen was completely furnished with everything we needed for the week. The master bedroom was large, with a walk-in closet and a nice master bath. Also, TV. The second bedroom was also so nicely decorated, had twin beds -- and its own bathroom. Linen closets in the hallway were stocked with towels.
We were very well taken care of on vacation at this resort!
Resort Experience:The resort offers several tours away from the immediate Ft. Lauderdale area -- one is to Everglades National Park for airboat rides. You get a picnic lunch on this tour and also hear about the Seminole Indians who once lived in this part of the Everglades.
There's also a tour to nearby Miami and Miami Beach, which includes a cruise -- and some nice surprises on that!
There is a fun get-together outdoors by the pool for all guests there for the week. You hear, then, about all the things you can do while there, including getting info on tours.
The outdoor heated pool was great, and there's also a whirlpool to relax in. There is a lounge area here, too, with chairs and a grill. Another thing -- you can fish from the dock.
The resort consists of two buildings, and the aforementioned amenities are centered between the buildings. There are three floors in each building.
We really enjoyed the restaurants in the area when we did eat out. And we enjoyed walking the beach often -- the great Ft. Lauderdale beach!
