Monarch Hotel

The Monarch is an elegant hotel located just east of Georgetown on the border of Foggy Bottom. The lobby is sunny and elegant. Rooms are modern, clean and furnished nicely. Many room have small balconies overlooking the hotel courtyard.

The hotel's restaurant offers good brunch, but it's on the pricey side. Lunch selection was very limited and overpriced, but if you're eager to stay within the hotel, it will do.

WASHINGTON MONARCH HOTEL

This hotel is lovely and does not feel like a big city sterile hotel. It is a couple blocks from the Foggy Bottom Metro Stop and is located in the trendy "West End". There is a gorgeous landscaped courtyard and the hotel lobby is decorated to bring the in the flora and greenery. It would be a great place for Sunday brunch.

The rooms are gorgeous with dark wood furnishings and floral linens that make you feel like you''re at a bed and breakfast. But the rooms are set up for business travelers. The concierge was helpful and made great restaurant recommendations.
