The Banyon is a centrally located resort only a block away from the busiest tourist street in Key West. The Banyon boasts tons of botanical gardens surrounding it and an oh-so-beautiful pool and tiki bar. Their garden and tiki bar look like they are set within a rainforest, with all the trees and flowers and waterfalls. The rooms are spacious, open, and airy, with a nice Caribbean feel. Our suite was a two-bedroom, one-bath, with its own veranda looking toward the water. It was very clean, with an attentive staff. The Banyon even had a lady whom they called to take us down to the beach and take our pictures--yes, we have professional honeymoon pictures!! You need professional pics so you don't have the ones where you are holding the camera away from the two of you. The Banyon also has other little cottages around the pool that looked so nice! The Banyon is a breathtaking resort that I highly recommend!

The Banyan Resort is a collection of beautifully restored and updated historic homes that have been converted to condos and grouped around gardens and pools. The condos have all the modern conveniences; however, some are second and third floor walk-ups. The gardens and pools are well-maintained - many Floridians own and/or rent here. Our one-bedroom unit was compact but well planned, very clean, and wonderfully convenient to the pool as well as to the many, special downtown spots of Key West.
