Best Things Nearby:
The Disney World and International Drive attractions.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was good that it was in the middle of the action on International Drive, didn't have too many stairs, and had a great pool area.

Resort Experience:
This was a great resort. There was not a lot of fancy stuff, but that wasn't really necessary, as everyone was there for Disney or other attractions. There was a great service staff and activities for kids.

Best Things Nearby:
Disney is just a short drive away, Universal Studios is right next door. A lot of places to go shopping.

Best Things About the Resort:
Pool and jacuzzi outside, cabana open for food and drinks, private balcony overlooking the pool, spacious suite two-bedroom 8/6, master bathroom and a full bathroom. Washer and dryer in the suite, full bathroom. King-size bed in master bedroom, two full beds in guest bedroom.

Resort Experience:
We got there later then expected, but a phone call took care of that. No one had cleaned the suite from the previous guest; a phone call and a little wait for the maid took care of that inconvenience. It had very nice décor and a private balcony overlooking the pool area, which we enjoyed in the evening after being at Disney. When you are on the walkway in the front, you can enjoy the fireworks from Universal. And those times when you don't feel like going anywhere, you can have pizza delivered. If you want to participate in a barbeque, it is a small charge. They have tennis courts that people play on in the morning. The pool area is open till late and there are loungers in that area. It was very clean in the pool area.

Best Things Nearby:
There were a lot of shopping centers nearby and an amusement park right by the resort. Easy access to interstate and Disney is 15 minutes away.

Best Things About the Resort:
We loved the location, the rooms were really nice, and the screened-in balcony was a plus.

Resort Experience:
I found this resort to be excellent! When we first arrived, we walked out to the pool. There we found beautiful palm trees with nice tropical music playing in the background. Our room was a very nice -- a spacious two-bedroom with a screened-in balcony overlooking the pool. The employees there were all so nice. I recommend this resort to anyone!

Universal Studios, Sea World, and International Drive.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very spacious, immaculate rooms, lovely decor, and excellent pool area to relax.

Resort Experience:
This is a very nice Gold Crown resort. The rooms in phase II, where we stayed, are decorated in a bright royal blue and bright yellow decor. The interior of the rooms were very clean. We enjoyed having a jacuzzi in our master suite. The master suite has a king bed. Both bedrooms have a TV/VCR. There is a spacious living room/kitchen area with a TV/VCR. The second bedroom contains two queen beds. The balconies overlook the lovely pool area and tennis courts.

The staff are very courteous and friendly. It is a very good location if you plan to visit the theme parks. This resort is located on International Drive, the main road leading to the theme parks in the Orlando area (Sea World, Discovery Cove, and Universal Studios). It was nice to be so close; you will appreciate the short distance after a day at one of these parks.

I definitely recommend this resort to all. We really enjoyed it and will definitely return.

Hotel Negociants

Hotel Negociants is an extremely well located hotel in Old Vevey. Impeccably run by the Schoellkopf family, not much English spoken here! My room, 105 Chf for a double/single occupancy, was very comfortable with the traditional Swiss featherbed, floor to ceiling french doors that opened out to the street below, a modern well appointed bathroom with very nice shower, and cable tv (I became addicted to BBC Prime on this trip).

The hotel also has a restaurant, with both inside and outside dining. Although I ate their twice, I can't rave as highly about their food as I did about Albergo Navegna's. But I'm a much bigger fan of Italian food than French or German. I will rave about the breakfasts though. Each morning I was served steaming coffee or cappucino, fresh orange juice, cheese and jams and a huge basket of assorted fresh breads. All of this was included in the price of the room.
