Indra Regent Hotel

Certain websites list Indra Regent as a 4 star hotel, but I have came across that it's being listed as 3 star too.

But to me, it serves as a 3.5 star hotel. Turning into the lobby main entrance may not be convinced to pay for the price, however when you get into the huge, clean and comfortable room, it does worth it. Indra Regent looks old from the outside, but the interior is modern and well maintained.

Besides the clean and comfortable rooms are charming swimming pool, good varieties of food offered at breakfast, room amenities...

There is also a tour counter at the lobby which offers day tours and tour programs to hotel guests. Pick a tour or two, and your coach will pick you up from the hotel for a splendid tour. Located near the the Pratunam Wholesale Market and linked to the Indra Shopping Arcade which offers many shops selling clothes for all ages at a wholesale price, it's a very good hotel if SHOPPING is on the top of your list.

Further down the road is the ever crowded shopping center include BIG C, Isetan, Siam Discovery Center, Siam Center and MBK while the famous Erawan Shrine (4 faces buddha) is just 10 minutes away from the hotel. There, you can board on the BTS Sky Train and explore other parts of Bangkok easily.

Convenience is the way to describe the location while entertaining area around is the best way to describe for its value. Very good hotel that I will recommend. Reasonable price for such a strategic location!

I liked this hotel; it is not new but it is not shabby either. Very clean; everything works. There is a good tour desk in the lobby which I used to book my tours to River Kwai and Ayutaya.

I was in Indra Regent for two nights. Once I entered the main lobby, I was greeted warmly with legendary Thai hospitality by the staff. The receptionist at the counter speaks very good English, and they were very efficient and friendly.

I stayed in a double room with my husband for 2800 baht per night, inclusive of service charge and VAT. I was told the single room is 1800 baht per night. The room is excellent for the price we paid. It has electronic key-card access, remote controll satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, built in hair-dryer, attached bathroom and toilet, and well-stocked mini bar with 24-hour room service.

Free American breakfast was included for us at Pratunan Coffee shop located on the ground floor of the hotel. They serve continental food. The setting of the table was marvelous with a great view of the bustling city life if you are sitting near the window.

At night, we received two free drinks at Chandlier bar with music from the live band.

This hotel is a nice place to stay as it is the perfect vantage point to the bustling city life of Bangkok. And it is within minutes to the nearest shopping centre and shopping arcades.

An excellent, well located hotel in the heart of Pratunam shopping district. It was clean, reasonably cheap, superb staff and lots of yummy food! The first night we were there, the hotel puts on a traditional Thai dancing and cultural performance in the Teak House, along with traditional Thai food.
