Hotel du Champ de Mars

Double rooms with private bath are about $70, triples are more. Breakfast is about $6 extra; it consisted of tea or coffee, croissants, and yogurt.

This quaint little hotel is in the 8th arrondisement just steps away from the Rue Cler street market and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. We felt safe here at night with the Metro (Ecole Militaire) just around the block from the hotel. The staff have the typical Parisian attitude that sometimes turns Americans off; don't let it.

Again we stayed here last year and liked the location.
The Rooms are small but clean and adequate and the bathrooms are nice. Some have shower and some have tubs and showers also.
The problem is the bed. For some reason our backs were killing us when we woke up. I think the bed was to soft.
But the location can''t be beat. Minutes from the Eiffel Tower and right next the the Rue Cler and wonderful street of food and veggie markets and a few restaurants.
The hotel serves a cont breakfast for an extra charge but we usually head to a cafe in the area for breakfast.

We had a nice small room with a double bed and armoire and a bathroom w/ toilet and shower.

The location was great. 3 blocks from Eiffel Tower. The Rue Cler was steps away and the Metro was also steps away. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by.
